7th spot was my worst I think

Shaq or Dwight feels like the eternal question to me. Lately as I've been more TO-conscious I've been leaning Shaq, but it seems like there's no real answer

I’ve used Shaq in this league so if Howard was gone, was going to try and trade.

Artis Gilmore at the 7th pick is too early, imo. The first 6 picks seem right to me.

Except for Gilmore, chalk so far

No kinoa to worry about, the 'ship is yours.

feels like kind of a waste not to be playing rodman at sf but i love his fit next to bird at pf...he can switch at the 3/4 for birds weaker defensive seasons and covers his low oreb%

i have no plans to play bird at sg...i dont see any reason to force him there besides getting extra boards and rodman kinda takes care of that...bird still has elite dreb% for a sf anyway

There were six guys I wanted to pick instead of Tyson Chandler, but I'm trusting to the process I used when I built around Harden before. I really would have preferred Big Ben again, particularly since the DPOY changes came into play, but I guess I'll take the efg% of Tyson.

Ben’s DJ/Jokic combo is nasty. Duncan/Dream is great too. DH took the smart value in Bird and Rodman is an intriguing complement to him.

I considered picking Jokic in the first but I knew the guys I would want to pair him with (Duncan, Hakeem, DJ) wouldn’t last. So went with the “safe” pick in AD.

Dont love the fit with Erving/AD but building an early foundation on D has been the most obvious path to success in this league, as far as I can tell.

D Wade isn’t a great fit next to Karl Malone, but he fell and I’ll figure it out later.

I'm gotten more optimistic on the AD/Erving fit as I've started to break it down more. I was worried about threes and mediocre efficiency, and still am, but I had forgotten that AD actually has multiple seasons where he contributes a non-trivial number of threes. Also Erving's position versatility is so nice; I hope he'll play most of his minutes at SG to maximize that rebounding advantage but I have the flexibility to shift him to the 3 (or even back up Davis at the 4) if I can't find good backup options at those positions.
