As to not crowd the draft board with discussion I will make this thread for discussion. It has already been mentioned how top heavy the 80s are. I am kind of at a loss if I have enough rebounds or not because looking around I think the leagues average rebounding percentage numbers might be down. I am not sure.

I wish I had picked Pippen instead of Woolridge because I would love to have him at the 2 rather than Dumars but no going back now!
I also haven't decided if I want to start Cliff L or Woolridge at the 3. Do I want my teams best pure scorer out there starting or do the slightly better D and rebounding? On that note I can't decide between 87-88 Cliff and 83-84 Cliff. 87-88 has better D and is more efficient while 83-84 has slightly worse defense but rebounds a WHOLE let better.
Not to mention which freakin Magic season do I use?!

This is what I'm working with so far. I still need about 17 minutes at the Center position and another 21 minutes in the backcourt. Unless I really screw up the final rounds, I think I'll be in contention for a playoff spot. My overall FT% is lower than what I hoped for going into the draft, especially considering all the fouls in the 80s, and I think it's gonna end up hurting me. Last time we ran the 80s league, I had a regulation game with 95 foul shots (45 for me & 50 for my opponent). I'll probably platoon Hot Plate and King at the starting SF spot depending on the matchup. Most likely will bring Cummings off the bench if I can find a decent center.

So I actually agree with you I prefer 89-90 AND 86-87 to 88-89 HOWEVER. The team needs the better rebounding. Especially w/ Dumars.

Great draft. I really enjoy trying to put a team together in this draft where picks that shouldn't matter really do matter. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

I'm surprised Chambers lasted so long. I was considering him in the 3rd round (probably too early for him) but samuel left Pip on the board for me :) He scores a ton of points with a ts% of 58% at 28.8 usg and an extremely low turnover rate (10.3%) for the decade. Those are Dirk Nowitzki numbers. He doesn't play D or hit the boards very much but you can probably get away with his 18.8 cReb at SF in this league. savoybg grabbing him late in the 6th was a steal, in my opinion, as he continues his march towards having the greatest free throw shooting team of all time.

Teams without any good 3 pt shooting (many of them!!) are going to get the dreaded -3 setting and it will impact performance. The 3 pt shooting in this decade is amazingly bad. Because of that, teams with some decent 3s, enough to punish that setting, and great rebounding should do well.

There isn’t anyone that can punish that setting.
