Excited to use Lebron. I don’t think I ever have before

While waiting for other people to pick I sometimes have weird ideas pop into my head.

Weird Idea #1 - Instead of having a draft lottery and choosing closer to 1 or closer to 24, we could have a land run to see who gets to the best parcels of player first. After we have 24 runners, a guest starter would fire the virtual land run gun and everyone would ride their virtual horse to their virtual plots of land. I have said virtual enough. Whoever posts first gets to choose their draft slot. The second poster chooses next and so on. Maybe someone doesn't want the large section next to the virtual river. Maybe someone wants that small plot that's full of rocks and quicksand. (24th)

Weird idea #2 - Once we have 24 runners managers, everyone turns in a selection of which pick they want. Say, for example, if you are the only person who asks for pick #3 then you get pick #3. If five people ask for pick #1 then no one gets it and we move on to round 2. We come up with a clever way to settle ties. Maybe if five people want #1 and none of them gets it we do a lottery of those five people and assign them the five picks closest to the top of the draft that nobody bid on. Maybe those five managers end up with 4, 6, 9, 11 and 19. Who knows. I feel like I should have one more sentence.

Huh. As a lifelong Nuggets homer I gotta ask: is Jokic getting overvalued at the present time, given his low D rating?

I think he is the best all in one package on offense in the sim right now. Defend is the only thing he doesn't do well so if you can pair him with a guy down low who plays really good defense, which is really easy to do in this format, he is SUPER valuable and worthy of the super high pick if you ask me. Analytics wise he might be the best offensive big man to date.

His offensive game gives a lot of just about everything it seems like. But lowish minutes and bad defenses makes me feel like he goes a bit to early.

Chris Paul at 16 is nice.

From what I have seen, people are taking Jokic and winning with him. I think we are still figuring out exactly how high he should go. Curry is typically top three in draft leagues. He is pretty much Curry, but with rebounding. If Curry goes that high, shouldn’t Jokic be drafted pretty close to Curry?

I guess curry’s defense is at least a net neutral. Just wondering which season do people prefer from jokic? His 22 season seems better in almost every way but 400 less minutes.

If the opportunity arose I wanted to pair McHale with DeAndre Jordan at center or Kevin Garnett at small forward. McHale is just so good except for those pesky rebounds and I don’t like to play guys at 97%.

Yeah you either have to pair him with a good rebounding sf or take the hit. Still great EFG imo he’s a great #2
