I hope everyone likes their team so far. I just wanted to express some general good practice drafting etiquette that I think we all can use. Please feel free to ignore this. I have zero authority and I do not want to offend anyone by these comments.
1a) we all should sitemail at least the next 2 people after we make our pick. Midge includes the next 5 and he is always on top of communication.
1b) you can get a notification forwarded to your email inbox whenever you get a sitemail which helps us know when our turn is coming up.
1c) To enable this, from the WIS homepage go to “Main” and then “Home” which should bring you to the “my locker” page. Now I’m doing this on a mobile device but I think you should see the “account info” section at the bottom. Then you click “account info” which brings you to another page where you can see “quick links” where there is an “update account member information” link. From there you can check the box for “forward sitemails to email”. It’s long with many clicks, but once you do it, it’ll make your life so much easier.
2a) if we are unable to pay attention to the draft for work, family, sleep reasons, we should attempt to send a proxy. 2B) Even if you are 5 picks away and can’t come up with a 5 player proxy, you could try a 1 or 2 player proxy because the best case scenario is that you get one of your 2 selections and potentially keep the draft moving. If both were taken, oh well, and now we are in the same boat as we would have been without a proxy at all.
2c) if you really can’t provide any proxy, at least communicate that you are done for the night so you can help the die hards from frantically clicking refresh for endless hours.
3) Don’t draft any players I want. Lol
