You've posted about how easy it is to win with a big class. You've posted about which elite jobs are the best, even though you've never coached an elite team. You've posted that your current West Virginia team is a sleeping giant and that a NC in the near future is a lock. We'll see.

Back to the crux of the poorly executed argument by Alek - The stacked classes are cheating because it's not a realistic situation just like -

Someone who claims they don't care about winning every game because you'd rrather play your freshman (would get you fired from every school)
Running every 1st down and 40+% of the time with a 0 back look (Super realistic and smart)

Those are your ways you are messing with the integrity of the game but shows everyone is trying to gain their own edge where they see fit like

Pass 100% Middle
Subbing out QBs in middle of drives (I think this actually annoys everyone)
100+ Campus Visits

Think it’s a pretty minor loophole when it’s gonna take you a minimum 4-8 seasons to have a shot at one title and four each after. And if you **** your big class you get to wait another four months to wait to try again. If it was the best possible strategy I think we’d see it a lot more often.

Don’t quite get the point of why subbing qb middle of drive would be annoying, seems like consistent stamina strategy like every other position. I’ve also gotten to 100 cv multiple times and still lose the battle to an elite with 10-15 schols multiple times, d1a difference makers are pretty scarce, not sure if a class of 30+ can actually afford to do this more than once or maybe twice without taking below replacement level players as well.

John seems like you’re reaching very far to be correct. I do care about winning, but no matter what I do with my team my ceiling this season is 5-8. The other 8 big East schools are far superior at the moment. I could play my seniors and lose by 30 compared to 90, but a loss is still a loss. The only advantage from that is being ranked slightly better. What does that do for my future? My goal is increase my freshman classes work ethic, figure out how to maximize their FIQ and core points to be ready for year 2 and definitely by year 3. It’s very realistic for a coach to do something like this. My biggest gripe about big classes is abandoning your team after a big class. Or using it when there’s no reason to. SD does this with big schools too, sacrificing himself for 3 seasons just to peak 1 season. It’s just silly man, all I’m asking is for is a cap.

I’m running sweeps and QB draws because my FIQ is too low to throw with. QB subbing is smart. Fire and injuries are turned off. If they were turned ON I would have a different strategy to avoid being fired. QB subbing is way down the list of loopholes. Art Briles of Baylor used to tell his receivers to stay there while the other side of the field worked combinations to get a rest.
