The Old School Converse All-Star League Topic

I wish that Whatif would make smaller leagues available already. It's really hard to fill 24 teams these days. A 12 or 16 team league would be much more practical for a lot of these theme leagues, but let me pitch this idea anyway. I am really tired of every league featuring several teams using the same 10-20 players all the time. LeBron, Jordan, Stockton, Kareem, Shaq, Duncan, Barkley, Curry. Rodman, CP3, Wilt, Durant, Magic, Bird, Jokic, Embiid, etc....

I want a league with the players I grew up with from before the 1980s. Only players from the 1978-79 season and back. So it will be the 50s, 60s and 70s. Three pointers will not mean much as only some ABA players ever took 3 pointers in those days. There's no way to turn the 3 pointers off, but there will not be many taken in this league.

I'm thinking a $50M cap with a live 10 round draft going ABBABABABA with 2 picks apiece in rounds 9 and 10. So no duplicate players in the league. No clones. no waiver list, no rookies. Trades okay.

Let's get a bunch of us older guys (I am 66) and have some fun with the players from OUR era when we were kids. If we have to maybe we get 12 owners with 2 teams apiece.

Guys, don't all join the league at once, I'm having trouble keeping track of everybody.
