First of all, I want to say that this isn't my brain child. A wise man with the user name dh555 thought of this for basketball. It has been extremely popular and competitive.
The (brilliant) idea is to draft 12 players (25 for baseball) and use five different seasons from each player and build five different teams. I thought, it works great for basketball, let's try it for baseball.
- Create 5 different teams from one single draft.
- The first 15 rounds we will draft one player. In rounds 16 thru 20, we will draft two players. Not mandatory, but if you want to be included we will draft two extra rounds (21-22) of one player each. This is primarily being done in case anyone drafts a player who doesn't have five seasons.
- Snake draft
- We will use players from 1900 to the present.
- We will use the DH on all five teams.
- All posted picks are final
- No salary cap
- No waiver wire or AAA players
- No clones
- Draft order will be completely random.
- No trades.
- Instead of randomly aligned divisions we will be using the Adopted Sophisticated Alignment Process to determine divisions.
- If you draft a player that has less than 5 seasons, you must use a 200k scrub and never use them. Example: If you draft a player that has only three seasons you will put a 200k scrub on rest for the other two teams.
If someone drafts a player who was already drafted they will be notified of their error. From that point they will have thirty minutes to correct the mistake. After thirty minutes the draft continues and they can make their replacement pick as soon as they are aware of the mistake.
All 5 leagues will run simultaneously.
Regular season wins = 1 point each
Make playoffs = 2 additional points
Playoff wins = 1 point each
Wins Wildcard round = 2 additional points
Wins LCS = 2 additional points
Wins World Series = 5 additional points
All 5 teams make playoffs = 10 additional points
The owner with the most combined points from all 5 leagues will be crowned champion.
Tiebreaker for most points: 1. Championships 2. Playoff points 3. Regular season points 4. Head to head record
The champion will receive $50 from WIS. (Hopefully, I haven't asked them yet. They do this for basketball.)
