14-3, RPI 7.  Short Term Outlook: It isn't hard to see a E8 run from this squad, but they are a little worse than the squad that got bumped in the S16 last year.  LTO: Pretty grim.  There is some LP still around, but less DEF, less ATH, and less PE than the guys graduating.  Williams is the only star among the FR/SO classes.  Improvements: note Williams' year improvement total (116), 13 more than anyone else in the CAC.  He lacks elite REB, but his show isn't About Nothing, he'll score in the LP.  Anis is the best of the FR.  He's got a ANice profile with upside in SPD/DEF/PE/BH.  With solid ATH/P, that plays.  Stolte is OK, but not Some Kind of Wonderful.  He's got a nice base, but isn't getting any better in ATH or REB.  So he's OK now, but won't be that much better in Another 48 Hours.

10-7, RPI 23.  STO: R32 or so.  No depth, lots of ATH and DEF.  LTO: No JRs means not a lot of returning firepower.  Only 1 PE/LP over 60 is possible,  but the DEF/ATH will still be there.  Improvements: Browns' developing beast.  He might by the best CAC G in two seasons.  Tusing is the best developing big-- his Sky's LP is important.  The FR G has a nice base and upside ATH/SPD/DEF/PE.  Bell won't Tower over other G's, but he'll be as good as a mid-40's BH/P G can be.  Duarte has upside where you would expect from a Salisbury player (ATH/SPD/DEF) as well as some others (LP, BH, P).  Not bad for a PR recruit (hence no Scouting Service).  Chavira may not be "Master of the Dark Lane," but has big upside in ATH/REB/LP.  That's a Monster profile even without the nice DEF/BLK starting ratings.

13-5, RPI 12.  STO: R32 is likely.  LTO: 4 SR's, only 1 JR.  There will be some roles to fill next year.  Improvements: Lloyd's profile improvements assure that he'll move from Camp Nowhere to Camping out in the lane as the primary Gallaudet interior option next year.  Littrell's big time improvements in LP and PE mean he'll be a great inside/outside threat, Literally.  The only true FR is Will Whitlock.  There's A Lot to like here.  The profile only lacks LP and ST.  He clearly has upside there, as well as SPD, ATH, REB, and BLK.  His relatively low WE means that the best is yet to come.

11-6, RPI 67,  STO: Could sneak in NT or make good PIT run.  LTO: This team needs some yougn P/BH. You can see a lineup of Hanson/??/Gans/Boyd/Kotter competing for an NT.  Kotter is a true star to lead those Sweat Hogs, but they need a SG and some P/BH support.  A JUCO perhaps?  Improvements: Kotter's improvements are the lynch Pin to this group.  He looks to be headed to elite ATH/SPD (60/45) to go with 90 REB, 60 DEF, 80 BLK, and 65 LP.  Gans made nice improvements; the base was bad, but his defense make him a legit star.  The FR SG (Yawn) is a wait and see guy due to his low WE; you can't Sleep on those guys since they are harder to read, but they'll be a lot of mediocre minutes to get to his upside if it's worth waiting for.  Rana has a very nice base, but lack of LP and PE means he'll never make it Rain.  He appears to have decent upside in the non-ATH/SPD categories, but nothing huge.

10-8, RPI 16.  STO: I can't see this squad getting out of the R32.  LTO: There are a host of serviceable younger players that can be a core of continual NT-bound MW squads.  Improvements: Who's Michael?  The best guess for the leading MW scorer over the next two years.  Note his ATH, SPD, and PE improvements.  50/80/80 in those?  Can't Beat It.  His def won't get to 50; he'll not likely ever be a Smooth Criminal.  Gleeson is a SR, but it's worth looking at his LP improvement.  One of these days, he'll Bang-Boom, Go to the Moon.  Digging a little deeper, you can see an interesting LP SF in Wells.  The two true FR are both low WE guys, so harder to read.  Dr. Guinn looks like he has mid-level, across-the-board potential.  PT to get his WE up is the best Medicine.  Wilburn has upside in ATH/SPD/DEF/PE; he's a future scorer in the Lineberry model.

13-6, RPI 49.  STO: It's hard to see this squad not making the NT; it's also hard to see a S16 run.  LTO: Next year should be rough, but there is decent talent in the lower classes.  Improvements: Dauphin's PE/SPD combo got a jolt in the last year.  His scoring will be really important next year.  I'm not Lovin' the RS FR, but you can see the weak base coming around to an interesting SF/PF option.  There are 4 true FR.  Proctor's a nice profile; the only things not trending up fast is P which started very high (68).  He'll Test elite status if the PE gets to 70.  Smith is a little more specialized with upside in ATH/DEF/PE.  He'll need a Friend in this World to complement, but Proctor supplies that.  Smith may yet Change Your World.  Harris is a better version of my FR big with a 50+ ATH with low potential to go with ok, but improving skills (REB, DEF, BLK, LP).  The imrpovement to date despite a 31 WE bodes well.  The RS big (John Matthews) may get useful eventually, and I'm getting against it, but it's not Gospel.

11-7, RPI 25.  STO: Despite short falls, this a S16-capable team.  LTO: There are some Sophs here to really like, a nice base for the next few seasons.  Improvements: Moore improved More than anyone except CUA's Williams.  Going 10+ in 7 categories is impressive.  Planas only looks Plain As he does by comparison.  The ATH/DEF upside with the ability to score is a differentiator.  Carrico is a nice base profile with ATH/SPD/DEF/PE/P upside.  The ATH/SPD/DEF would play without the O categories.  This should be the best squad in the CAC two year from now.

12-10, RPI 81.  STO: Looks BB will make noise in the PIT.  LTO: The two SRs matter, but there is good Soph year talent.  Improvements: Christensen is a great improvements are good.  He won't be a Savior with the lowish BH/P, but He should get 80+ in ATH/SPD/DEF/PE.  Not many folks have that package.  Boggs is another interesting Soph.  The base is nice; he'll improve a ton in ATH/LP/PE.  Maybe he's eating more Chicken; he'll be a Double-Double threat as a SF.  Holt is the last of the big 3.  I don't know if he'll get to 80 LP, but 50/50/80 in ATH/SPD/REB is in play.  Holt.  It's all the Japanese you need to know.  Stiltner is on the Short list for best upside among FR G's.  The baseline isn't great, but his ATH/SPD/DEF/LP/PE skills all look like they could Rise a ton, and passing a little.  70/70/70 in ATH/SPD/DEF with some PE plays; I'd like to see a PG to pair him with.  Hobbs is no Wonder Boy; his base is pretty weak and he won't see 50 ATH or maybe even 50 LP.

16-6, RPI 17.  STO: ATH+DEF= a chance all the way to the F4.  Low PE+Low LP= a chance to lose as early as R32.  LTO: CBriese knows what he's doing.  Every class has ATH and DEF.  Until he can get one of those with some scoring ability, I don't know if the LTO includes and NT title, but he's in the mix.  Improvements: The REB improvements of Pierce and Garces matter.  Pierce's PE improvements matter more.  Sellers is the one True FR; it doesn't take Inspector Clousseau to guess that he's got High ATH and High DEF, but pretty much nothing else.  I guess the profile plays at SF with the decent baseline ATH despite the 20 REB.

8-14, RPI 75.  STO: Not good.  LTO: Losing the two bigs is big, and there is no rebounding replacement.  GHams  has focusing on DEF/ATH, but only gone 3 for 6 the last 2 years.  Let's see how the next class looks.  Improvements: Wayland's a very nice player whose improvement fills in his gaps nicely.  Drigger's PE jumps out-- the highest in the CAC for PE.  He and Minjares are might both be 85 by tournament time next year.  Lettuce talk about Romain's strengths: great LP, passable ATH.  Upside in REB and BLK.  Not elite, but solid.  Widener has the better ATH/DEF profile.  His speed is going below par and his PE will stay non-existant (1), but the REB will move up as well as the BH/P.  He's a fun DE/REB SF who should limit TO's and make putbacks.  Solid, but not capable of playing a Wider role in the O.

17-6, RPI 22.  STO: Enough talent to challenge for a S16 run; no further without luck.  LTO: The Sophomore/JR classes are stronger than the SR's.  In Geoff I trust.  Improvements: Pope's ATH/PE/BH/DEF Eminence is fun.  Nesbitt's improvement in everything that matters is even more impressive.  There were big ATH jumps in most bigs.  Last thing to note is that Sanders' +14 LP means he'll get to 90 before too long.  Levay is the only true FR.  You'd expect better WE if he ever hopes to overthrow King Arthur, but it's shortcoming means we can see the DEF/PE improvement is big, but not how big everything else is.

12-9, RPI 78.  STO: There 3 elite SR's can't overcome the quantity of mediocre Sophs and FR.  LTO: Coop's let his team fall neglected.  Triple digit RPIs are likely for the next few seasons.  Improvements: McKeller's somewhat in the Wonder Years since his low WE masks his upside, but it is well-rounded.  He's got close to elite LP skills, but he'll never be Savage on the block.  The only FR who is a difference maker is Robinson.  He's got upside in ATH, DEF, PE, and P.  With a nice base in SPD/BH, he will develop into an elite G, playing as many minutes as his ST can handle as soon as next year.  Barrett's got recent well balanced improvements, but only LP looks like it will be an elite talent.  With a meh ATH, he'll never be Poetry on the block.  The bigs just don't have enough ATH to matter.  It's that simple.

7-7, RPI 70.  One big thing: CUA will return only one player who will start with a 600+ rating next year.  That is a strange reality.  It makes this season crucial and the Cardinals inability to close out close games is pretty tragic.

9-6, RPI 27.  One big thing: Next year's team will feature 3 and maybe up to 5 75+ PE guys.  They should pair with Lloyd to give him the 3's and one elite big combo he likes.

9-5, RPI 95.  One big thing: after a few years missing the NT, the 4 games left against Marymount and CUA will probably determine his fate.  The prognosis for next year is also as a strong bubble team.

13-3, RPI 17.  One big thing: Five upper class bigs make for a very awkward transition next year.  It could/should be worse than any recent Hood squad.

4-12, RPI 139.  One big thing: Coop's been neglecting this team; though there are some decent skill sets, there is a startling lack of ATH and SPD which will plunge him down the prestige ladder the next few years.

10-6, RPI 39.  Top player: Jerry Williams.  Only 6 points this year of improvement this year, but he started with Seinfieldian #1 ratings.  Top improver: Larry Annis.  The sneaky nice things about Annis are his solid REB and nice FT rating.    The SPD and PE will both get to 90 soon; that's A Nice pair of ratings.  Top FR: Hilliard's topping out at 42 ATH, FRod at 75 PE.  Neither is bad, but neither is anything special.

12-4, RPI 6.  Top Player: Roger Brown.  Linsky is good, Tusing is great, but Brown is ridiculous.  If you could take 20 off a player's ATH, SPD, DEF, and PE and he's still be a NT-quality starter, you've got something.  What can Brown do for you?  Pretty much anything.  Top Improver: Crisp.  The SPD isn't elite, but everything else is and keeps getting better; 4th highest OVR improvement.  He's got a lot still to go.  He's Crispy, but not done.  Top FR: None.

11-6, RPI 21.  Top player: Scott Littrell.  Backstreet, Frontstreet, any Street, Littrell can play and keeps getting better.  He's only a JR, so he'll Be Back, Alright!  Top improver: Littrell (79).  He's got one more year before he goes Bye, Bye, Bye; he might get to 750 OVR.  Top FR: Charles Trill; the only true FR.  Trill looks like a nice pass-first PG with upside in ATH, DEF, BH, and P.  not a Trill-a-minute, but solid.

13-3, RPI 24.  Top player: Stephen Kotter.  Welcome Back!  He's a little worse than Tusing, but on the short list for best bigs.  The 4 SR's are all really good and pushing Goucher as a NT-lock.  Top Improver: Hanson (+70).  His +16 P is important to give them 1 player over 40, I guess.  Top FR: Stephen Calhoun.  The LP is decent, but not improving; the ATH, DEF, LP, and BLK will.  He's more of a VP-type big than a President-type, but solid.

13-4, RPI 5.  Top player: Howard Michael.  There are better overall players, but MW depends on Michael's Angelic shooting touch, and he fills the Halo.  Top improver: Modzelewski (102, 3rd highest in CAC).  JUCO's can sometimes be beautiful things.  Modzilla is a Beast.  If his WE had been higher, maybe he'd have gotten even more by now.  Scary thought.  Top FR: Harry Lyles; I won't get too Cavalier, and pick the other FR (who is the requisite shooter).  Lyles will help move this team in a New Direction, but will never be a #1 option.  His skills are his ATH/SPD as well as DEF.

12-4, RPI 42.  Top player: Ronald Proctor; Hard to chose, but this team wouldn't be the same without a Proctor in the House.  Other coaches don't necessarily take up Proctorology to make sure they contain him, but he's good.  Top Improver: Jude Harris (88).  The LP improvement (30) shows the power of "Sky's" LP.  He had a nice base, the LP is what means he'll earn his Milk Money.  Top FR: David Case or Joseph Poling.  The Case for David: He's a nice P-first PG who will get better on ATH/SPD/DEF.  Why Joseph is Polling well: He'll be a 90 PE guy with a little better ATH.

13-5, RPI 7.  Best Player(s): Don Moore (Mr Outside) and Jason Winegar (Mr Inside).  Do you like 83 SPD/90 PE or 63 ATH/100 LP more?  Wrong.  The correct answer is both.  Most improved: David Conard (85).  Rogue has the nice reality of getting a quality big pretty much every year.  I like David-- it feels like his last name could be a verb-- "he just got Con-aired."  Best FR: Stengel is the only true FR.  The Little Basketball Professor is an absolute monster with upside in ATH, SPD, REB, DEF, LP, and ST.  He'd be a good D2 recruit.  "Can't anybody beat these guys?"  "Nope."

14-4, RPI 57.  Best Player: Joe Christensen.  The offensive profile is ok -- the DEF is Millsapian.  Most improved: George Lawton (104, 2nd highest in CAC).  There will soon be a New Sheriff in Town.  Lawton's offensive skills are rapidly improving and he'll be a useful -2 scoring G at the very least.  Best FR: All are solid, none are players of Lawton's or Christensen's magnitude.  Snow and Gibbons lack the "O" (at least on the court) and Gibbs will never have as much REB as I like from my SF's.  I'd take Gibbs as the BG (Best Guy) who will be able to score in a BG (Big Game) as a nice SPD/PE SF.

16-2, RPI 3.  Best Player: I'll take Xavier Cruz who leads them in scoring and steals.  He's somewhat of an X factor, but most of their guys are X-cellent.  Most Improved: Curtis Nace (108, highest in CAC).  Rich get richer.  +10 in SPD, REB, DEF, BLK, P, ST, and DU?  In the Nace!  He's not just a man I met in the bathroom, he is the future king of this basketball Zamunda, even if he'll be below average ATH on this squad.  Best FR: The President is good, but Weems is better.  His base is very nice, but it's the upside that will give make him a scorer with upside in LP and PE.

10-7, RPI 24.  Best Player: Howard Wayland.  Speed kills.  And gets away with it.  Most improved Adrian Hanselman (66)  Skippy has a decent base and the nice improvements in ATH, REB, and BLK.  The ATH has a chance at 50, the key to him being able to eat in the Gingerbread House.  Best FR: Neither Rowley or Wong look to have great upside.  I think Wong is the Wight choice, leaving Rowley as the proverbial 7th-grade wimp.  Wong has upside in the G categories, but not much in ATH and D despite a weak base.

12-5, RPI 11.  Best player: Pope and Nesbitt are great, but Geoff has no plan B if Sanders' isn't getting the job done.  The Colonel is in the exclusive 50/90/90 ATH/REB/LP club.  Most Improved: Raminez (76).  Curtis is a good scorer who will be a great scorer who can defend a little.  Best FR: there are 5 here.  Plemmons and Stephens are clearly the class of the group.  Stephens is good, but I'll take Plemmons: his base is solid and he has nice upside.  He'll either be 50/80/90 or 50/90/90 before he graduates.  If recruiting makes you Plemmons, make Plemmonade.

12-6, RPI 29.  Top player: McKeller, I guess. He does everything well enough with a monster LP.  On a team with no one at 50 ATH, he's the tallest Hobbit.  Most Improved: Barrett (77).  He's a dead ringer for McKeller, but two years younger.  He's the Frodo to McKeller's Bilbo.  Best FR: Given SMM's C- Prestige, all these recruits are really good.  Carrion's the most likely to be Dead Meat until his DEF comes around.  Bryd has the better base, but I'll take Joseph Jaquez.  He's got upside in ATH, REB, DEF, BLK, and LP, the last clearly a sky's upside.  Jaquez is going to Rock and Jaq.

Formula results, season 80.

The formula sees parody since it doesn't see Chestnut Hill's monster D.  SMM which it sees as #1, already has 3 losses.
The CAC is deep and wide open.
