Boston won the pennant again led by 35-win seasons from Kid Nichols and Jack Stivetts and a great year from Hugh Duffy. In 1957, the Milwaukee Braves led by Aaron, Spahn, and Mathews beat the Yankees in a thrilling 7 game series. Lew Burdette won 3 games including 2 shutouts.
