The only thing I did that with was the NASCAR contest this year...7 guys, not worth it...if I don't get enough here I won't be running it, but I plan to be sending out some emails and placing a couple line ads in Sports Weekly, so I'd hope to get in the triple digits in participation...high doubles would be nice.  I've seen numerous contests through and I'm committed to this...the NASCAR thing was halfhearted the entire way...again, me and 6 other guys won't cut it...won't do it for AOD either.

FWIW, I'd love to have both of you guys in my contest, I'd really love the opportunity to run this thing and see how it plays out.

This was your response(I didn't know about NASCAR).   Then you bumped this thread.

I love how you read 2 posts from me and pretend like you know me, my past, my contests, etc.

The fact is, 5 people were interested in this last year and the game wasn't/isn't worth running with 5 people playing...if I only get 5 people in this year, I'm not running it again.  Tell me you'd run a game that you were trying to push if only 5 people were interested in playing.  You like to grandstand about me "abandoning" contests when essentially there was no other choice...find me someone, anyone who would continue with a PAYING contest with 5 participants...because you won't find a soul.  You don't realize/understand how incredibly ridiculous your argument/stance is.  You never said you'd join any of my contests...you really want to stick it to me, you really want to prove me to be in the ****, well then join up and let me abandon you then, if that happened, that would be your ultimate victory against me...I don't know why you wouldn't do it....says something about your fortitude really...

I love how you say ALWAYS, when it "happened" one time...priceless spin...

To my knowledge, you've attempted to start two contests.  Both were abandoned within a week.  2 for 2 is ALWAYS.

In short, people play games in order to play.   Imagine sitting down at a blackjack table in Vegas and the dealer saying "Meh, you're the only one at the table.   We'll wait for a few more people to sit down or I'm just not going to deal.  It's not worth my time."

By the way, I'm not 5.   I'm not playing the "Let's see who can be quiet the longest" game that mothers pull on their kids on long trips.   I wouldn't even consider joining your contest until you actually run one to completion.

Comparing blackjack to fantasy sports is like apples to oranges...you aren't playing for free at that table are you?  "Vegas" would benefit from having even one person at a blackjack table whereas if it happened in my game, it's kind of like, if a tree falls in the forest and no one's around, does anyone hear it?  I don't think seeking double digits AT THE VERY LEAST is unreasonable, but you're being a grandstanding *** saying he "abandoned" his game because only 5 guys said they would play...you're hating on me for something that you yourself wouldn't do.  If anything, the fact that I can't draw numbers perhaps says that my concept sucks and/or is in need of revision, and thus it was back to the drawing board, especially from last year to this year in regards to AOD, I've made many steps forward, created a web page, advertising more, bigger prize, better organization.

You on the other hand just want to sit back, hate, and play this "I told ya so" game when in fact you don't even know what the eff has gone on.  Like I said, if you really want the ultimate win over me, the BEST thing that you could do is join/play my game only to have me abandon it...would I ever have any argument against you again if that happened?  Then you could legitimately say, "I told ya so", but instead, the fact of the matter remains is that you just want to be anti-colonels19 like the rest of the users on this site and just shout about what a jerk I am from a mile away without actually putting your money where your mouth is.  I'm giving you the ultimate opportunity to prove yourself right, and you're cowering and running away...again you can spin it how you like, but I'm just telling it like it is.  Come get some.

Too long.   So, if it doesn't "benefit" you, you're not running it?  What if 35 people join and you decide that it still doesn't "benefit" you?   Pull the plug?

If 35 people join, game on...like I said, I'll be happy with double digits...I obviously want the sky, but I have to be realistic.  Mid to low single digits aren't worth my time, they're not worth anyone's...I mean if you're competing against 4 other guys in a non H2H contest, who gives a fvck.

Thanks for reading my entire post btw...

You gives a fvck if you're competing against 4000 guys in an internet game?   If it's a contest with a prize, people want the prize.    Chicks are not impressed with dudes who say "I'm in first place in my fantasy baseball league.   There are 4000 contestants!!!"    You're just a nerd who's good at fantasy baseball.   You probably should have trimmed your nose hair before spending hours scouring the waiver wire for a Saturday starter.

Well I figured this was obvious, but I guess not...if you're running the game/show...there's a huge difference between 4 and 4000, especially when it could potentially turn into a business with formidable cash prizes.

No, it is obvious.   I just wanted you to say it.   You're shilling your site/game in hopes of profiting.   And, if the numbers indicate that you won't profit, you shelve the idea for another day.   So, as I said earlier, if 35 people join and you see there's no money to be made from 35, you'll cancel the contest again.

Which, quite frankly, is why you'll never get enough people to join.   Maybe you shitcan it in September.   Who the hell wants to play a game for 5 months and have in canceled in month 6?

I will not make a dime off of this this year, whether the game is run for 5 or 5000.  I do this for the love of the game if you will, it's a hobby that I'd ideally like to make into a business someday, but if that never happens, I'll be happy doing rankings, contests, etc., until I die.

Again, you just keep saying he won't, he won't, he won't, thus I think you should be the guy to join the most and play to prove that I'll muck it, because that's all you've ever said are negative things.  If I muck with 35 cats, I'm a friggin idiot, period.
