And I think Allan Craig made key plays on offense and defense that Holliday would not have pulled off (given his condition and the way he'd been playing).

like I said...they simply needed him out of the lineup.......I honestly felt like he was hurting the team.......

now, if I'm a Texas fan, I'm asking why CJ Wilson couldn't step up and take the ball for Game 7--it's what aces are supposed to do

If I were a betting man, I'd have bet everything I could on St Louis last night.  No way a team wins game 7 after so thoroughly blowing a sure win in game 6, not once but twice.   I loathe the Cardinals, but speedy and booger are both solid dudes, so sincere congrats to both of you guys.  I can't wait to get there myself one day.

Just another in a long string of questionable decisions made by Washington.  That guy isn't nearly as good a manager as I had thought he was.  He made huge mistake after huge mistake.

I think the better question is, why didn't Holland start Games 3 and 7 and Harrison Game 4.  Holland has been very good lately and he's got WS experience. Harrison seemed timid and overmatched. If Holland had started that game last night, on full rest, I think we would have seen a different result.
