Baseball fans,

This year's Baseball Hot Streak game begins with the start of the MLB season Wednesday. We'd like to invite all WIS members to join and play for the prizes on FOX Sports as well as some extra WhatIfSports prizes.

We'd like to offer a $25 site credit to the user with the most wins each month of the baseball season (April - September).

We'd also like to offer either a 4-season HBD pack or a 6-league SLB pack for the user with the longest streak of the season.

On both cases, the same tiebreaker logic will be used for the main FOX Sports prizes.

ESPN has a streak for the cash where you pick a bunch of games and the person with the longest streak each month wins $100K

I imagine that the prize is lesser here because the player pool is significantly smaller and it doesn't take a miracle to win.

Yeah, that sounds right. Pretty bad when you're too lazy to take 5 minutes every morning to pick a player for a chance to win $5M (which I am).

It's not the best bang for your buck.

Pick somebody with an 80% chance of getting a hit every day (which is pretty generous) and the EV is like $18.70

If you're spending 5 minutes a day times 56 days that's almost 5 hours- so working for like $4/hr isn't really worth it.

It's a lot easier to just learn to prop bet and rake guaranteed scrill.
