5. All of the above

Due to his advanced age he is no longer called "past the diving" Jeter. He is now called "past the stationary" Jeter.

2 and 3 are Nomar, right?  His .321/.386/.589 postseason triple slash is better than Jeter's .307/.374/.465.
6/8/2012 12:34 PM
Nomar never his a WS walk-off in November.

6/8/2012 12:41 PM

'roids killed Nomah's career.

6/8/2012 12:51 PM
You're right, Nomar never did.  Jeter's 2 career walk off home runs are awesome.  Nomar does have 6 career walk offs though, so he's obviously more clutch.

Are you now going to spend a month and 100+ pages in this thread telling us that Nomar was better than Jeter?

Jeter has played longer than Nomar.  I thought "more" was "better"?
6/8/2012 12:59 PM
I thought more didn't equal better???

I'm f'ing with you.  Jeter was better than Nomar, but it's probably a lot closer than you think.  Jeter's longevity plays a role in him being better.  I think an argument can be made that Jeter is among the top 5 shortstops of all time, and that's after discounting his glove.

Nomar or Jeter is so 1999.

A-Rod
6/8/2012 1:36 PM
Do we count Arod as a shortstop?  If we do, he's better than Jeter, but I think Arod falls into the Ernie Banks/Robin Yount group.

If you want to say Jeter is the best hitting 2B who played SS for all of his career...  I'd agree
6/8/2012 1:55 PM
Anyone who counts A-Roid as a SS hasn't watched baseball in about 10 years.     Turn off the black and white, buy a flat screen and enjoy some new baseball.

David Eckstein hit three career walk-off home runs out of 35 overall. That's a much higher percentage than Nomar and Jeter.
