AWFUL GAME BY JETS

In what some were calling a "trap game", the Packers dominated Dallas at Lambeau 45-7, sending hordes of NBC viewers to other networks, and now have a bye week to hopefully get some players healed up.

Safety Atari Bigby was activated this weekend from the PUP list; Al Harris and rookie RB James Starks are still on hold. Packers must decide by tomorrow what to do with them.

I don't think I've ever heard an announcer thoroughly tear apart a team as much as Collinsworth tore apart the Cowboys tonight.

Al Harris has told a local radio station that he expects to be released today.

As much as I wanted the Packers to lose because it would help the Bears, it is AWESOME watching Dallas get waxed week after week.

That sucks. I like Al Harris. However I guess I wont miss his 4 illegal contact penalties a game.

Harris officially released, hints he may end up with a division rival.

Tauscher put on IR, Spencer Havner signed to fill the roster spot. Tauscher invited to stay with team in "mentor"-type capacity, apparently.

There was a small debate I heard today on the radio in Wisconsin.  The DJ...not a sports-talk station, but music....said he wanted the Bears to win so Minny would be "down" for the game against GB this coming weekend.  The dumbass didn't realize that a Bears loss would give GB sole possession of 1st place in the Central.  I'd think that's bigger than some make-believe reason that a team would be "down".

Packers sweep the Vikings, beating Brett badly in Minnesota, 31-3. ARodg sets a new personal regular season record with four TD passes. Brett throws only one INT but is generally ineffective throughout. Very satisfying.

Packers waste a thrilling, 4th-and-goal TD pass from Rodgers to Nelson to tie the game with about a minute remaining, allowing a long kickoff return and throwing in another 15 yards on a facemask penalty besides, putting the Falcons nearly within field goal range. A few plays later, Bryant hits a 47-yarder to win it for Atlanta, 20-17. Rodgers' first-half fumble inside the one-yard line proves costly, as the Pack comes away from that possession with nothing.

Kerm....   That fumble was destined to be the game.  When a team is 18-1 at home in their last 19, and you essentially give them 7 points (Whether you throw a pick six or fumble on 3rd and goal at the 7 inch line, it amounts to the same thing), you will not win many of those games.  You just cant make HUGE gaffes like that and expect that the 7 points will not be haunting.

The Jets play at New England (25 straight home wins under Brady) this upcoming week.  We will have to play near perfect football to beat them.  As will the Packers when they go to Foxborough in a couple of weeks.

That facemask penalty on the kick-off was Bear-like; they did the same thing when they played ATL a few seasons ago.  Of course, that is also one area where the Bears always seem to lose their cool; it's like Lovie doesn't even stress to stop making stupid mistakes at the end of a game.

Rodgers now 2-12 in games decided by four or less. McCarthy not much better. Hard to see how the Packers are going to win bad-weather games in December when they can't even pretend to try running the ball.
