And Kermit.... for that video to name Freeman McNeil as a mistake.... thats a bit much. Other than Curtis Martin, he was the Jets best rusher of all time. He finished his NFL career with more rushing yards than any other running back in the 1981 Draft with over 8,000 career yards in a 10 year career that had a strike shortened season (where he led the NFL in rushing with 786 yards). He was the key component to the 1982 Jets team that went to the AFC Championship game, and the 1985 and 1986 team that went on to the Divisional Rounds. He retired with a more than respectable 4.5ypc average and in no season was he ever under 4.0 yards per carry. If he had the longevity of Curtis Martin, for my money... he was the best Jets running back we ever had. He outrushed George Rogers (who was the #1 overall selection). And was way better than other 1st rounders (David Overstreet, Randy McMillan and James Brooks). Brooks had more all-purpose yards than McNeil, but McNeil had more rushing yards than Brooks in his career. McNeil was the better RUNNER. That video should never have shown McNeil as a bad choice. He was an elite NFL running back for almost a decade.
