Rypien is injured. I think the plan is he'll be a 4th liner. With other injuries, he'll get in regardless.

 nothing i like better than him beating that toothless idiot in EDM, but that Macintyre guy might be a little tough challenge for Ripper...giving up 70 -80 lbs ..lot of weight to give up

 As much as i like Henrik, why do the Canucks screw up on this Captain thing?  Swedish Captain? cmon..give it to Kesler ,we need a North American Captain. When the going gets tough the Euro's fold. I think Kesler proved with the American team at the Olympics he is ready to lead..disappointed once again

Normally I'd agree with you randle. However I think Henrik and Daniel are different, after watching them for this long I'd say they are tougher than people give them credit for. And I love how Kesler plays, but it seems like he can be a jerk at times, don't know how that would fly in the dressing room. Either one is fine I think.

I'd have to agree with one of the commentors on TSN when they said giving Kesler the C might take him off his game. Henrik will do well.Can't wait for the game tonight.

kesler would be a decent choice, but how do you not give the captaincy to the guy that's been the leader of your team for the past number of seasons and won the heart trophy the year before.   and to anyone who says european captains never win anything, that's only because yzerman was still captain in detroit when lidstrom got there.  lidstrom could have easily been captain when detroit won their last couple cups.  :>

 I disagree ,Remember Kesler on the American team? probably one of the scariest players on that team.when they were playing Team Canada i was always freakin when Kesler's line hit the ice,and he was ****** when he lost,it took him weeks to get over that loss.thats what we need a guy that wears his emotions on his sleeve .dont get me wrong i like the Sedins but were they that upset about losing in the Olympics? no they werent..I personally think naming Kesler captain would result in the opposite reaction ,i think it would up his game and he would become a better player.. Kesler has 4 times the character of that p#ssy Phagneuf..i just think he deserves it ..give the "A"'S to both Sedins..just my opinion

I 100% agree.......Kesler for the "C" both Sedin's wear the "A's".

Side note...Remember when Kesler fought W Mitchell in practice?  Wonder if that carries over to tonight's game.
