Any line up without Matt Cooke in it, is good. It's too bad because he has some talent on the pk. He wore out his welcome in Vancouver pretty quick, even after a couple good seasons.

The news just keeps getting better and better.....................

Penguins star center Sidney Crosby today said he couldn't rule out being out for the rest of the season because of his concussion, but he hopes to return before that becomes the case.

"You know what? That could happen," Crosby said of missing the rest of the season. "But am I sitting here packing it in? No. I hope I'm back and, geez, I hope I play this year.

"But that's the thing with these things. You don't know. There's no time frame. I'm expecting to play this year. I'm sure there's a thousand different things being said out there, and [him being out for the season] is one of them, but I expect to be playing."

ouch.  that really sucks.  if crosby and malkin are out for the season, maybe the pens shouldn't make any moves.  it's not like they'd be winning the cup even with penner or somebody else.  though of course you never know really, but odds are against it. 

and it looks like it's official that malkin will be out for the season.  won't be ready until training camp next year.  :{

C'mon now. It was that gamble that served up Mr. Malkin and Mr. Crosby.  If only my Flames could be so lucky.

In all my years of watching hockey, I've never seen a team finish the game with only 6 skaters and 2 goalies. Gotta be at least 3 suspensions from tonights game.
My wife made the best comment, "I felt like I was watching a fight and a hockey game broke out!"

yeah, looks like a pretty rough game.  both physically, and on the scoreboard.  big loss to a not so big team.  probably a good thing crosby wasn't in this game.  heh.  :>
