Looks like someone's back from rehab...

Todd Bertuzzi ejected early in the 1st for being a dirty bastard.

These refs are brutal so far, the Bertuzzi call notwithstanding.

GIGANTIC win in Detroit tonight with Hossa getting the winner in OT.  We played a fantastic game and should have won in regulation, but a garbage goal off a skate allowed them to tie it in the 3rd.  No matter, we got our two points and hopefully some momentum going into Boston tomorrow night.  Crawford was excellent again as well.

7 games left, 90 points in the bank. 8 more needed to pretty much ensure a playoff spot.  This Western conference is crazy this season.

Boston is going to kick your BUTT!!

Lucky HAWKS win tonight..........Bertuzzi was robbed of the chance to score in O/T, due to the bad reffing????

Tongue in cheek......yes!!!!

Looks like someone needs to accompany "Drunk Randle" to rehab next time he...oh wait...is he already gone?

It was a great game last night. very entertaining with tons of chances and played at a very high level. Hossa was all over the ice all game.

Boston I'm sure will try to goon it up tonight without John Scott in the lineup. Hopefully the Hawks can play a disciplined game and give themselves a chance.

I bet juskay is babbling something about the Hawks being lucky or bad or something else that's 100% wrong.

Tough loss, but the team was completely out of gas. They made a valiant effort in the 2nd period I thought, but that Detroit game took too much out of them.

On a happier note, Sharpie may be skating by the weekend...

Just shows once again depth is the issue. Watching that game last night you would have never guessed that Boston had been in a physical matchup the night before against Philly ;)

Just messing with ya. Good to hear sharp is better. Pronger is slated to return tomorrow in Philly... finally.

I found it comical how Toews was yapping at chara in the 2nd..... like he was going to do something about it. He should have just laughed it off and put one on the scoreboard rather than get frustrated. I will say Boston definitely put a target on Toews back. He took a beating on the boards.

Boston is one big, physical team and took it to us last night.  We had nothing in the tank after that emotional OT win in Detroit.  The best thing about last night was that the loss didn't come against a team we're fighting for a playoff spot with.

I'm betting we come out with some serious fire Friday against Columbus.

If you think Toews wouldn't go you're wrong. Chara would likely beat him to a pulp, but I don't see Toews backing down from anybody. He had no business fighting Rick Nash either, and he held his own there.

This playoff, assuming they make it, will be telling for Toews. His game has matured and it'll be interesting to see if he can fight through the tougher checking he'll face. Last season he struggled a little against Pronger. This year he's more physically mature and more experienced. He's already proven I think that he belongs in the top 10 players in the NHL discussion (after even I didn't think he belonged there in october). Let's see if he can take the next step and show that he should be considered among the elite.
