fyi - you do realize an elite player like Ovechkin has had 52, 46, 65, 56, 50 goals per season dating back to his rookie season (age 20). He's had 96+ points every season. He's won 2 Hart trophies, an Art Ross, and a Rocket Richard in different seasons (not just one season like Toews 1 trophy). Every season Ovechkin has almost 200 more hits than most big name forwards including Toews. Dude is physical and can play D. How can you even make a case they are close.
Crosby has broken every "youngest player to" record you can think of. He got hurt this season and it still took about 20 games for the rest of the league to catch him in goals and points. Also has a Stanley Cup to boot. Crosby is so good I loathe the guy.
