And the more I think about the power play units the more I think they miss pronger. Earlier in the season most of the PP success was from pronger putting the puck on net. I haven't sen a lot of PP shots from the point since he's been out of the line up.

Kimmo is the only threat from the blueline on the PP. Carle and Meszaros have been putting up "quiet points" and have been getting burned in their own end. the blueline needs to step up if the Flyers are to make another deep run.

Better than playing for one or two periods like they have been lately. But to win, you need to play all 60 minutes.

Thank God there are no shoot outs in the playoffs. I can't remember the last one the flyers won.

This is really getting ridiculous...

The vets on the team really need to step it up... I'm looking at you Briere, Richie, and Kimmo... and stop waiting for Pronger to return for leadership. The power play is an absolute mess. The Hartnell - Leino - Briere line is broken.

On a positive note I thought Zherdev looked spectactular out there - he was throwing his body into checks, provided some much needed speed on the ice, and scored a goal. I don't think I've seen him play like he 'wanted' a spot on the playoff roster until yesterday.

Another positive note is that JVR is really growing up this season. He is using his size and speed to power through the blue line - he's scoring more - you can see his confidence on the ice now.

It was nice to see Coburn absolutely pummel that 6'7" dude on the rangers.

Why doesn't Zherdev ever play? He's a great player, and when he has played, he has made a real difference. Plus, the player that plays for him all the time happens to be none other than Jody Shelley, who has scored less than 10 goals in his entire career.

this is ridiculous.  If there was ever a game to work on your power play this is it.... but only 1 shot in 10 minutes of power play time.

heh - richie just gets his 2nd PPG of the game. It all started because Meszaros kept the puck from going out of the zone - go figure.

and then the flyers give up 2 quick goals.  wow.  how are they still a 1 seed.

Leights was recalled from the minors. Starting on Friday. Interesting.

no idea. They are carrying three goalies as of now.
