Dream about weber juskay but he is going to cost huge money as I believe nashville is planning on matching any offer. If any team noticed how Bieksa wussed out in the finals after beating up non fighters they won't pay the money your talking about. Talk about going from the toast of the playoffs to total non factor when it mattered
Pretty unfair assessment on Bieksa.....We lost Hamhuis and Rome early in the series, and the other 4, Bieksa, Edler, Alberts and Ehrhart were left to play too many minutes plus they all had minor injuries.  They all looked pretty ordinary and obviously it was because they were way overworked.  Nice try to get a shot in though.  Your top 4 d-men are all working on their handicaps.
Not that I agree with nick's assessment because I think had the Canucks won, Bieksa would have won the Conn Smythe, but I would like to point out that if being overworked was not a valid excuse for Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and the rest of the Hawks' stars, then it shouldn't be an acceptable excuse for your team either.

In the end it's all just ribbing. Like I said, we can only hope to see another classic Canuck-Hawks matchup next spring.

As for Shea Weber, the Preds filed for arbitration which means no team can sign him to an offer sheet while they negotiate a long-term deal. The Devils did the same with Parise.

Glad to hear all is ok randle.

Happy father's Day to all the dads tomorrow, and see you all at the draft and on July 1.

It's not an acceptable excuse, how convenient for the Canuck fans to trot out the injury and tired excuse after shitting the bed in the Finals.  But I would expect nothing less from this whiny group.

The finals are a WAR of atrition.  Canuck's lost the war, Bruins were better.........I am not making excuses, just pointing out the obvious.

Again how convenient to point out that winning the Cup is a matter of the team that escapes the little injuries being the better team.  I guess that helps realizing they may not be as talented as the constant claims thru the regular season and first three rounds.

Jim, juskay actually said "Bruins were better".

I realize that andru but the guy was barking all season about the Blackhawks, who were banged up for a good portion of the season and none of us used it as an excuse.

I know the NHL playoffs are a two month grind, but talented teams should be able to withstand those nagging injuries, the Canucks couldn't do it.  Juskay and a few others were flapping their gums all spring about how the Canucks were going to win the Cup; one fan even had the nerve to claim it was the start of multiple Cups, so they can take the abuse or not post here for a few months.

You can have an opinion, no one said you couldn't, stop trying to play the martyr.  So you can dish it out but can't take it?

The Canuck fans should get ready for a looooong year of abuse from Jim and I.  Even as we were defending champs, all we heard was how we were a fluke, Buff was the heart and soul of our team, blah blah blah.  It was all 100% wrong, but that didn't mean jack.  Now that the Canucks have proved themselves to be a heartless bunch of choking dogs, you better believe we're gonna dish it right back all summer and into the season.

At least peter puck has been keeping a low profile, though he is probably tired from blowing Bielska through the playoff run.

The very same Bieksa who was touted as a Norris Trophy-caliber player?

seriously?  you thought bieksa would win the con smythe?  were you watching the games at all?  with the way he played in the final and game seven especially (him and salo played like they just got their nails done and didn't want to chip the paint), i'd let bieksa and salo walk as free agents.  re-sign erhoff, get hamhuis back from injury, and play ballard (you're paying him $4.2M a year until 2015.  then you got edler, stick rome into the lineup, call up tanev full time, and spend the extra money re-signing some of your better forwards and picking up the one thing the canucks don't have, a big strong center to play in front of the net on the powerplay.  :>  do that and you'll be better off next year.  hell, even the twins looked like they actually cared that it was game seven of the stanley cup finals, but bieksa didn't.  :>

hey, some people think chara is a norris trophy calibre player.  now that i've seen him play i have no idea why.  :?

Chara has actually won the award, Bieksa hasn't come close to being a finalist.

A Heartless bunch of choking dogs???  Who played hockey 6 weeks longer than your team.  The only thing our teams had in common was we both lost our last game, nothing else matters.
