Sedins for Callahan. Then Van signs Richards.

Jets take Rypien :( Sure would have liked to see him back with the Canucks. Damn.

Sedin                      Sedin                         RODIN        (prediction we have our top 6 forward in RODIN)
Higgins                    Kesler                        Burrows      (Kes and Burrows play great together)
Sturm                      Malholtra                   Hansen        (good D and a speedster)
Raymond                Lapierre                     Samuelsson (we can roll all 4 line with this as our 4th line)

               Bieksa                      Hamhuis
               Edler                         Salo
               Tanev                        Ballard
                Rome                        Alberts

                               Luongo
                               Schneider

Hodgson, Oreskovich in minors.  RODIN will be the talk at training camp.  He has grown 2 inches and added 25 pounds best described as a skilled BEAST.

This line-up lacks size and does not have enough grit???

Look for Samuelsson, Raymond, Hodgson and sadly C Schneider to be traded to fill our needs.  No free agents left to fill needs.  Expect trades before OPENING NIGHT.

Most likely trading partners for the Canuck's are the Rangers and the Stars.

Ballard to the Rangers for B Dubinski would work nicely for us??

If Dallas desides to blow-up the team and do a total re-build, B Morrow or L Erickson would fit nicely into the line-up.
It's nice to dream........

Interesting line up juskay.  To start the season I see Hodgson at center, Lapierre on the wing while Raymond recovers, and Oreskovish as the 13th forward.  Don't know much about Rodin but I hope you are right about his talent.  At least this allows 4 lines to roll so more rest and recovery and less chance of injuries in the playoffs.

Not a lot of grit, but 4 lines heavy in skill or speed.  Is Gillis gambling that the league will clamp down on head shots and hard hits and move to a no hitting league?

I don't think this is what the team will look like come October though.  I think we are in the market for a top 4 D man still and perhaps someone to complement Kesler.  I wouldn't be surprised if a high priced rental comes our way mid season.

Thanks Paul.......

I just don't think we help Cody Hodgsons development by making him a 4th line Center??
Let's face the facts??  Which center can Cody beat out for a starting job??
Sedin??      NO
Kesler??     NO
Malholtra?? NO

Lappierre get's the 4th line?
That mean's Cody is trade bait, because our window to win the cup EXPIRES in 3 years??

RODIN will be there??  Trust me on this one...

If we can get someone to take Ballard and Samuallson, we could have enough cap room to put an offer sheet out to Stamkos

If we get someone to take Ballard and Samuelsson.............I would target S WEBER??

We were first in goals scored??
We allowed the fewest goals against??

But we need that NUMBER ONE stud D-Man.........Enter S Weber??

I would love Stamkos too??

But??

We scored the most goals in the league, LAST season???                                      WITHOUT..STAMKOS?????????

Target..........shea wEBER??

a TRADE IS IMMINENT??

Interesting how all of you criticized the Hawks for letting go of their grinders...and this season the Canucks said goodbye to all their heavy hitters on their 3rd and 4th lines. Good luck with that next spring.
