and bryz may have been a bit overhyped.  still better than flyers goalies past, but not what I was hoping for.... (so far)

Say what you want about the Flyers not missing them, but one area Carter and Richards are sorely missed is in the faceoff circle...Montreal has dominated there tonight, and they're not that good in faceoffs to begin with. That could be magnified come playoff time.

definitely miss them in the circle.  i still like this this team better than last years though.   

when they gelled the first 4 games this season they were really exciting to watch and did nothing wrong.... (except stupid penalties) and that was w/o a few key contributors contributing.  A few things of note: 

- Without Pronger this team is not the same team (as was the case last season)
- Briere has done nothing since he's donned the "A"
- Schenn doesn't seem to have a natural fit on the roster at this point.  
- Flyers really need another big time defender w/ how prone Pronger is to injuries.... (Hartnell to Nashville?) 
- Voracek is a waste of roster space
- Bryz is going to get an earful from the Philly media/fans if he doesn't play huge tomorrow.

Positives.

I love Simmonds on this team.
I was wrong about Bob.... he may be better than I thought.
Jagr is having a great season... and he's dare I say it.... fun to watch
Giroux has stepped it up a notch from last season.
Couturier and read are nice additions.

Apparently Holmgren was scouting in Columbus yesterday (Detroit @ CBJ). Wonder if he's looking into John Moore. That name has come up in the past.
