So ive noticed ;)

toews day to day. Injured his wrist.

Hawks are officially 4th in their division going into the all-star break.  

20 of the next 32 games for them are on the road.  

My Hawks miss the playoffs bet comes down to this:

Hawks since 12/14 have been a ~.500 club.  If they continue to be a .500 club the next 32 games they end up with a maximum of 96 Points (Which will be fighting for an 8th seed most likely (if not out of the playoffs)).  

Of the remaining 12 home games Hawks play: Blues (x3), Red Wings, Stars, Mapleleafs, Rangers, Kings, Capitals, Canucks, Predators, and Wild.  
The next 9 games are on the road... then 3 home followed by 5 of the next 6 away again.  Their schedule is not friendly.  

Toews is injured (no one knows how bad) and Sharp will be out at least another 2 weeks (but one will be the all-star break).  

Other considerations would include trade deadline moves.... 


I'm not so sure I've lost this bet just yet ;)

The flames have traded Brendan Morrison to Chicago for Brian Connelly

anybody couldve had Morrison for free a few years ago ..im waiting to hear from Hawks fans about  how he is suddenly a great forward ,great leadership ..tough as nails ...the next Yzerman...just like that puss Brunette

Same here. I should go back and find some of those posts about how awesome (and tough) brunette is for $2 mil and how 'anyone that knows anything about hockey' raved about SBs offseason.... you know, trading allstar campbell for olesz (where is he now?).... or the acquisitions of monty, sod, carcillo, and mayers. Of that bunch mayers might have been the best pickup which isnt much to brag about considering he's a 4th line player ;)

not going to happen. chicago fans still think its 1985 when they talk about the bears..... this thread title will stick for another 49 year cupless streak, no doubt.
