For mattdesa:  Welcome aboard 1937 Wes Ferrell.  Hopefully he hits great for you at Three Rivers.

For reddtrain:  A good real-life albatross:  2014 Ryan Howard.
As much as I'd love to have Ferrell, I think all the pitchers have to be 1946 or after.

I've emphasized this in our rules for assigning albatrosses now, thanks!  I sitemailed our honorable tdoak.  BTW, nice theme pick, Ryan Howard 2014.

My apologies!  I had the settings wrong and Ferrell was just too tempting.

You know you really wanted 1952 Tommy Byrne, so you shall have him instead.

Byrned!

So many decisions to be made, I see, drafting and through the season.

I'll jump in....I'll take Redland Field, and Bob Howry.  I'll send out my other two selections after a bit of research.

Thx!

OK, I'll give this a shot.

My own personal helllll...aciously nice place to play will be Robison Field.

And roaming the pastures there will be none other than the guy with the .298 OBP# and the salary of 6mil, 2000 Garrett Anderson.

I guess I should hold off on assigning other screws until frank has picked his. Wouldn't want to steal his thunder.

Thanks jfranco!  Let's go with 2014 B.J. Upton, and 1948 Bill Wight.

Happy Tuesday!  Catching up with you Frank and JF!  Robison has already been picked, JF.

Oops... let me take Washington Park instead then.

For Frank Drebin, I have to admit, I LOL'd a little when I found this guy. Hey, at least it helps significantly with your minimum PAs. Please welcome SS Jim Canavan, 1891 Cincinnati Kelly's Killers. All 998 PA of him can be yours for just under $5mil.

For tdoak, I have good news. I've got a great centerfielder for you. Unfortunately, as a pitcher, he's still a great centerfielder. Welcome Johnny Lindell from the 1953 Pirates, all 210 innings and 1.68 WHIP of him.

OK, OK, I have two bits:

Frank, it's a nicely crummy, but how in the world did you find Bill Wight 1948 and just what is it that reddtrain will appreciate about him? Just well unrounded?

Franco, Canavan is intriguing... and perhaps it was perversely kind of you, for Frank. You've caused me to want to look for other massive PA eaters... could be good for the next OL I do....

Re: Canavan - How in the world does someone get nearly 1000 PA? I know it's extrapolated out from a shorter season, but still...

Did he occupy two spots in the lineup? Was there some sort of smaller (less than 9) lineup that was allowed for some reason? Did the team play an extraordinary amount of extra inning games and he led off all of them? I see that he was split between two teams - was it a weird scheduling oddity that allowed him to play way more games than anyone else?

I don't understand it, but apparently, Canavan, after playing 100 games for Cincinnati, whose season ended August 16, played another 36 games in a 36 game season with the Milwaukee Brewers. I suppose the mystery could be researched further, online. Just who in the world did the Brewers play?

I'm going to give it a shot.     Astrodome       Pitcher Mike Marshall as u pick em albatross....... then I will be giving someone the albatross 1901  NYG 1b John Manzell...reality: sub G for M.....and Cleveland fans should well be aware how much a punishment that is. and for the quality pitcher I want to bless someone with is who I believe is just bad...2002 Mike Hampton Colorado Rockies.
