I thought about it, but I wanted to give more importance to the Unit Auctions. Also, keep in mind that these will be the 6 worst Units at each position, and we'll be drafting the 48 best from the more or less 150 remaining players.

But I guess i'm not opposed to allowing owners that still have money remaining from bidding on those unsigned players following the 2 round draft.
I hear that, but I've been seeing a lot of fatigue issues in my recent leagues, and effectively setting 10% of the player pool off limits may make it tough for all teams to fill out their PA's and IP's, even if it's a weak 10%.

Count me in if you still have space - Kentucky Avenue.  First time in progressive league - sounds like fun.

Welcome aboard yogi, that brings us to 23 owners, need just one more brave enthusiast to sign on the dotted line.

I've decided to make a slight rule change with regards to the aforementioned leftover players. Following the completion of the 2 round individual player draft, owners who still have funds available (including bankrupt owners with anywhere from 1 to 4 million dollars remaining) will be allowed to bid on leftover players (1 million minimum bid). However, this phase will not begin until any owners with less than 25 players have filled their 25 man roster.

So the owners who have less than 25(after the 2 round draft) get FREE picking until they reach 25, and then the remaining players go to the highest bidder?

Yea, think of it as a supplemental round(s). It probably won't even come into play though, most units have more than enough players.

Auction off players from 2000 in lots. 100M to spend.
Get money after season for wins, awards, playoffs.
Use that money to bid on 2001 rookies, FAs.
Rinse and repeat until 2011.
Person with most cash remaining wins the pot.

So, we're full now?! Time to hit the stat books from 2000-2011. Some fun developments in progressive strategy this year. Who dares take Jose Bautista in 2004?

Sweet! Has everyone checked in again to ensure that we're full. I'd hate to find out we have drop-outs after this gigantic ball gets rolling.

In the other progressive I'm in that ct runs, we're just finishing up the 2004 draft.  I was curious to see the answer to that very question.  Although the setup of the league (the winner in 2010 wins the whole league but the bottom couple of teams get eliminated every year up until then) makes the dynamic slightly different.

When will we see the list of players in each grouping?

Gonna send out a sitemail or something to make sure everyone is still on board and knows  what's happening, ctorriente?
