I don't know, but Red Ruffing or Mike Mussina are not terrible alternatives.

I typed a in the Last Name field and then a in the First Name field and continued for each letter and it worked perfectly...

We'll see how things go through the end of the year. I wasn't going to start the draft during the holidays anyways, so if we're still struggling to recruit members, we can talk about decreasing the # of league members.

I'll play.  Although I would like to point out that the "same sound" definition isn't something alliterative can "also mean" - it's the definition.  And it also applies to initial vowel sounds.  In fact, any words with initial vowel sounds are considered alliterative.  Don't have to be the same vowels or even the same sounds.

Welcome, dahsdebater. I know I wasn't quite using alliterative correctly in this instance, but when it came down to it, this was the best way I could describe the league in 30-something characters. If anyone has a better word or phrase for it, I'm all ears.
