700 IP Challenge... FULL. Topic

So, my '89 Clarkson gives up 6 ER over 5 IP in his final start to bump his ERA to 4.79 -- one percentage point higher than the 4.78 needed to be the best season on his Performance History (Entered the game with a 4.75 ERA).

His performance history prior to this season:

This Season:

I almost didn't start him in the last game to insure that I got the best season on his PH as that would have given me the best season for both the '85 & '89 Clarkson, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for 100 starts.

While we're putting stats up:

This is the best performance insomuch as IP and CG I've been able to get out of someone:

I have gotten more starts from Silver King and Toad Ramsey, and I've gotten better from both of them as well, but Clarkson is the only pitcher I've been able to get more than 770 IP out of. I've twice gotten 830+ from him. I'm confident I can get 900+ out of him, but we'll see. As I posted elsewhere, the most I've been able to get at entirely 100% is 732, and the most above 90% is just below 750. To get this, Clarkson made a few starts between 85-90%.

I think I've kinda worked out how to make this work. I'd like to play with 1890 Hutchison.

J4M  - You're talking about GS correct?  You're not looking for a return of the Long A strategy.   I know the last major change to the SIM pretty much that to bed but just wanted to check while I ponder entering a team.

I don't see how anyone could get enough IP out of one of these guys in a relief role to make them valuable, but since the goal is to see if there's a way to get value out of these guys, then I'm not going to restrict it to just starts. Tthough, I'll be starting my Clarkson and would be surprised if anybody was able to get any value out of their pitcher by using them in relief.

And I'd be glad to have you!

I'm interested just a bit confused by rules, do we only use one of the pitchers on page 1?  what about rest of roster?

Italyprof is going with '86 Kilroy. I'll update page one when I get home from work.

That is correct. You'll pick one of the pitchers on page one (that hasn't already been picked twice) and as for the rest of your roster, it's OL rules...

gotcha, thank you - i will take Hardie Henderson
