I am celebrating the start of the WISC in Cooperstown. I can confirm that Addie Joss was an actual baseball player and is in the HOF.

What do you mean?

I mean the competition looks very deep and wide to me! -- from SLB'ers with all kinds of track records. I sort of doubt we'll be seeing many .600+ teams.

I should be able to measure that.  Let me work on it.

Through the first set of 5 games I am 15-15. Oddly going 3-3 in each set of games. I have two 4-1 teams, two 1-4 teams, one 3-2 team and one 2-3 team.

I didn't realize - I'm probably the last person on WIS to - that Joss has the lowest career WHIP in baseball history.

I hadn't been to the HOF for about 15 years and it is a different experience seeing some of the players and stats through the lens of WIS.

I won my 1st two one run games and have then lost 9 of my next 11.

In order, $70M to $110M through 11...

5-3, 5-3, 4-4, 7-1......2-6, 0-8!  Yikes!   I am the anti-EasyE.

I am extremely mediocre, and being brought down by my dual franchise team:

70M - 4-4
80M - 4-4
90M - 4-4
100M - 5-3
110M - 1-7
120M - 6-2

Overall, at .500 and going nowhere fast

I expect admin to have the standings link ready before the end of the week.

If you average 10-8 every day, that's a 90-win-per-team pace which is enough to get you into round 2.  I was looking at the historical numbers, since 2009 (excluding 2103, which for some reason was an outlier).

The average final round 1 point totals of the 23rd/24th place owners since 2009, was 561, compared to 558 for the 25th/26th place owners.  Of those 561 points, 46 were playoff bonus points (on an average of 3.5 playoff teams per owner).  That leaves 515 regular season wins (for an average of 85.8 wins per team).  The main difference between the 23rd/24th place owners and the 25th/26th place owners is the latter averaged only 39 bonus points (on 3 playoff teams).

So going 29-25 (i.e., 10-8, 9-9, 10-8) every three days gets you to an average of 87 wins per team.  Just make sure you have 4 playoff teams in the mix.

So those with 23 wins in their first 42 games (i.e. 4 games over .500) are on pace.
