Schwarze, as I make my next couple picks, it will lock me into conditions where if subsequent picks I've planned are taken by someone else, I won't be able to complete my drafting without adjusting players I've already drafted. That would effectively break my team.

Furthermore, at that point, it's possible that I wouldn't even be able to find a combination of players that could fulfill the rules.

What would happen then?

I'd imagine others are getting into a similar situation, too.

It looks like you already noticed the special rule about having to "FIX" your roster after the draft is over.

There are things we can do still, in process, even if we're getting bollixed. Frankly, I happen to have another year open for Madlock and if I get messed up in the next few turns, if I still hold that season open, I should be able to shift him and open up enough options. Pardon the table talk; just don't want anyone to get really messed up (and I'm not, but I can sure see messed up, from here).

This is one of the funnest themes ever.

Thanks.  I wonder how many of you kept track of everybody else's picks, and tried to slot those picks into years/teams, so you could better assess what players you should target immediately and which players you could wait on.

Just something like a bit of that, sort of on the fly. Sorta like playing Hearts without hardcore card counting. Kinda like Risk, really a lot of gamey games (like war, the real kind, etc.).

one of the reasons I haven't selected a ballpark yet. make sure I can close out the roster first.

Maybe if I quit my job and sold my kids.

(hmmmmm....)

I think the owners that might be in trouble are those who stretched their budgets early and are now relying on 300K or less players to fill up their roster or ones who waited too long to pick split players and now the second half of the split might be in jeopardy. I'm interested in seeing who maximized their budget and who didn't. I think I'll have one of the smaller overall team salary. A yankee fan being a small market team, go figure. Probably not a good thing but hopefully it allows me to easily pick a legal team.

I did keep track of every player and tried to guess years and teams but gave up quickly on that. .Too many of these players have similar years or can play multiple positions. I was actually more interested in positions. Early in the draft it was too hard to tell who was going where. Being this far along you can probably get a better idea.

I can barely keep track of my own picks... Twice now, I've rushed and chosen players with teams or years that I already had.  Luckily I was able to catch them and make the edit before the next person chose.

My favorite part of this theme is seeing all of the obscure players getting chosen, especially the ones with funny-ish names, like Frank Funk, Roy Face, Pepe Mangual, etc.

I did up to about the 18th round when scrubs got picked and it became really difficult to figure out which version of the scrub they were taking if they played for multiple teams.  It got way too tedious to try and figure out.
