Looks to me that to get to Round 2 both of my playoff teams have to win the Division Series and at least one has to make it to the World Series. 
One WS loss and one LCS loss probably gives me about a 50/50 chance.

1-4 in my first games, including blowing a 9th inning lead and also losing to an 82-win team.

My Theme-best $70M team just lost the Division Series 3-1.

No way in hell my ever-underachieving 1999 Royals (down 1-0 so far) are going to save my bacon by winning the World Series (and even that might not be enough).

As of tonight, 17 of the 24 leagues have completed round 1 of the playoffs, while the other leagues have played 2 games.  Once all 24 leagues finish round 1, I'll do an update.

There are 12 round 1 series that are left, and they're all tied 2-2.

Some interesting observations.  The four former champions (ballantine, ronthegenius, jfranco77, wildthings1) are all going to advance to round 2 and most likely will finish round 1 in the top 10.  Also, a few other historically high finishers are also in the top 12, including mensu1954 (finished 3rd in 2008), rbow923 (5th in 2009), bigmc (3rd, 2nd, 6th), calhoop (7th), shaybee (2nd, 3rd) and yours truly (5th, 7th, 5th, 5th, 3rd).

well, my .1 is out and my 1 remaining team is down 2-0 in the lcs.  this could be big trouble.

I ended up getting out of the first in 120m where I was down 2-1, so I advanced four to the LCS. The impossible dream of winning the first round: still alive.
