Researching teams is both the most exciting and most frustrating part of this.  Inevitably I'll end up with 4 or 5 "great" teams in each theme that I can't decide between, then if the teams I choose do badly, the second-guessing is brutal.  One of these years, I'm gonna gamble and stick with my first incarnation of each team.

not that I necessarily want to do this, I'm just clarifying just in case, but for the $90m P&D theme, for the catcher requirement, can I draft a player that has an A/A rating elsewhere and a B- arm and then use him as my primary catcher as long as I draft a player that has an A+ arm at catcher?

You can play guys whereever you want once your roster is determined legal.

To be legal, does your roster have to have an (defensively) eligible player at each position?  For example is your roster legal if you have no 20+ defensive point 2B because you plan on playing an eligible SS out of position there.

Just curious, I finished my 70 million cap team last night. For those that have finished their versions, how many PA's & IP are you using? I'm at 1350 and 5200 respectively.

For the Twist League:

1. Is there a bottom limit on how few I need to twist/use from each team?
2. Can I use one of the the 2 seasons for other players or are they all required to be twisted?

Mine are at 1420 IP and 5600 PA

Good quesion.  Since WIS still charges you the salary for the better defense regardless of what his primary position is, no you do not need one of every position.  Just to be clear, every player over 300K must fulfill the defensive requirement for at least one position.

1. No limit
2. You do not have to twist players from the two selected teams/years, but the option is there

Just to be sure this situation is explicitly dealt with:  Suppose there's a player whose primary position is outfield (listed as OF when drafted), and he does not meet the 20+ defensive requirement at outfield or any other position, *but* he's rated at catcher with a qualifying Arm rating.  Is that player legal?

According to the rules, yes. Because, in theory, you can play him at catcher.
