It would probably resemble the 2011 Oakland A's or Phillies (minus the pitching of course)
you mean the Phillies offense that scores more than 4 runs per game—better than 8 other NL teams and 4 AL teams?

Would that be the same Phillies offense that was SHUT DOWN by the WORLD CHAMPION SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS last season?

Being shut down in one series hardly makes them a "$70 mil WIS" offense.

Let's try to stay on topic guys...

I finally drafted a $70m team. I don't really like it, but it's the first team I've tried out of over 20 different teams that I managed to get under the cap. I had 3 teams I REALLY liked that all fit under a $71m cap, but I couldn't squeeze out the $80/90-some thousand I needed to to fit under $70m. We'll see how it goes...

I found a $70mil team I really liked on my third try and decided I wouldn't find one I liked more, so I left that one alone.  The Vet one is frustrating the crap out of me.  I keep finding teams that are good, but not great, and I just know others out there will have better.

I finally made my decision on my Vet. It's probably the wrong choice, so why don't you take one of my other choices, lol.

I found the 110 league one of the easiest.  Which probably means it will suck.

I echo the 71 mil comment above.  :)

I don't believe this has been asked yet.  In the $100M theme, if the ballpark that one of your SP's played in isn't listed, does that mean WIS Park is now your fourth choice or are you limited to one of the stadiums your other three pitchers called home?

Use one of the other three choices.

yep, the 4 SP league is difficult, lots of reasearch and hours trying things out. schwarze likes these puzzle leagues. the best combos I found are nowehere near as good as a normal $100M league.
This is giving me fits as well.  I keep thinking there has to be a better combo out there.  Been able to come up with a bunch of good teams, but not one that I think is great.

I cannot figure out the 110M vet player league. Can anyone simplify this for me. I have never been in a "twist" league.
The description states pick a vet player and pick 2 seasons at least 10 yrs apart. Using the full rosters of these 2 teams, twist any of those players to any season to form your roster. You must roster the vet player and that season cannot be twisted so you have to use one of the 2 seasons selected. I know it is probably very simple, but I can't figure it out.
Example...so if I use rickey henderson and select 1986 when he was a yankee and 1999 mets. Does that mean I select 1 of those years to play Rickey..lets say 86, so I use the teammates of the 99 mets and I can use any season that any of those 99 mets'players career? Help!

yep - and the same goes for the 86 yankee team.
7/9/2011 1:55 AM
So then I can use both the players of the 86 mets (any season of those players) and of the 99 yankees (any season of those players) and then I use my choice of either 99 rickey or 86 rickey. Is this correct?  sorry, I know it's easier than I am making this out to be.

you are correct
