Finally pulled above .500 (and into the top 50) with my second "schwarze" of the turney.  No 0-6's yet, but still barely above .500.  My teams have gotta pick it up collectively here.

on that note - I am shocked by what is going on in the 120mil league....some very strange strategies that seem to be paying off so far.......
Can you be more specific?

Sure - I am surprised at how people are getting away with spending so little $$$ on pitchers....pitchers that would have a tough time holding their own in a 100mil league are doing nearly as well as my '10 Walsh, '08 Joss etc.....  This allowed them to spend more on hitting and that seems to be the winning strategy.  A similar strategy to this is going with just over 1400 ip. allowing more money to be spent on hitting.  These teams (some in extreme hitters parks) don't seem to be suffering from fatigue issues.   Kudos to those owners who have managed their innings successfully - they took a big gamble and it seems to be paying off so far.
I also see a team being successful in my league that has pitchers who give up homers, hitters who don't hit homers all in a homerun hitting park.  I must have missed the WIS class where they taught that one.
Just seems like a wacky league to me.....although don't even get me started on the 90mil league......

My 100m team has completely forgotten how to hit.

Lefty Grove throws a no-no at 110m, 2 walks allowed (Max Bishop committed an error, natch).

How about this. I am well under .500 and down near the bottom. Ironically, my two worst teams record-wise are the ones closest to first place. In the 90 mil and 120 mil leagues my teams are a combined 38 games under .500 yet only a combined 2 games out of first place. Bizarre.

Not coincedentally, I guess, those are the two weakest divisions I am in according to the preseason rankings.

I'm pretty surprised with how the $120M league has played out as well. I drafted relatively few innings (1,471 vs. 1,574 avg.) but spent a relatively high amount on them ($58.2M vs. $54.0M avg.). I've had basically zero fatigue issues even though I expected it to be an ongoing issue. right now I have only three pitchers who aren't at 100% and they'll be there in the next cycle. I drafted very good defense for my hitters, which could be a factor (so far 117 + vs. 8 - plays).

The way my 100m team is playing (9-game losing streak, 7 wins in the last 32 games), it's hard to believe it opened the season with a 19-game winning streak...

There is nothing worse than having a team suffer through a long losing streak that follows a long winning streak.  I once had a team start the season 18-0.  They didn't make the playoffs.    I currently have a team (not in the WIS Championship) that started 16-3, then proceeded to drop to 4 games under .500 by going 2-19 (including losing 12 or 13 games by one-run during that stretch).  I'd rather just go WLWLWLWLWL, etc.

my 80mil team went on a 14game win streak and then lost 4-3..then went on an 18 game winning streak which just came to a halt with a 5-6 loss..never had a team go on a streak like that before in my career..

It's especially irritating considering I had a lead in the the division, go 23-11 over that same time (including a 16-1 stretch that pretty much mirrored your win streak) and end up 8 games back at this point

Time for my rant...

I won't even comment on the underperforming 110m dollar B. Ruth team... or my 80m team which opened up at 66-31 and now just lost its 10th consecutive game.  It's the high frequency I am seeing in WIS for the blowing of saves (my 10th loss was leading 4-0 in the 9th only to see 6 consecutive hits with 2 outs for my opponent to pot in 5 runs).

The one aspect I have with WIS is probably the unreasonable frequency of the blown save (I've been on both ends of this with the absolute worse case was somehow my team scoring 8 runs in the 9th being down by 7).

they were a .580ish team all season long until this happened, not sure if fatigue is kicking in with other teams or what..i was wondering how many games i would gain as you were winning along with me..

My 100m team may finally be off the schneid, all it took was facing the losingest team in the entire league.  Here's hoping things are looking up from here on out.
