FYI - We're starting to get to the point where if you are picking a non-OF, non-P and you know the person or persons on front of you already have that position filled, you can pick out of turn.  This won't work as well with OF, SP or RP, since most people don't have those positions filled.
I am assuming that those picks are not final until the person in front picks or the time slot expires.  So lets say batandball picks a 3B early because i have already have an "3B"(HoJo is going to play SS).  I would still have an opportunity to pick that 3B at my time slot if I wanted to, correct?

No, I believe you are only restricted to pick ONE designated 3B (regardless of where you end up playing that player).  I posted way earlier before the draft started if we had to worry about picking players based on where they were designated if we intended to play them elsewhere.

Reading the rules, everyone is restricted to pick only 1 designated C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS plus 3 OFers, 2 Part Time players, 5 SPs and 5 RPs.  No other combinations will be allowed.

However, when time comes to set up your playing roster, you are free to play whatever player you want in whatever position they may or may not have field ratings for.

At least that is how I'm interpreting the rules and have been drafting on that assumption (i.e. so if there is only 1 SS left and I'm the only owner who needs a SS, nobody else can pick him so I could theoritically leave him to be my 25th pick.)

If your intention is to play HoJo at SS, then you will still need to pick a SS and you can either play him at a different position or sit him on the bench but you will have to find someone to play 3B (either from the SS pick, or a combination of PTers and/or the 300K guys).

f*ck this - I'll take Brian Downing - C
Interesting on how a run on a position throws the best laid plans out the window ...

I had no interest in HoJo for that very reason - I didn't want to have to count on getting someone else to play 3B in order to play him at SS.  At one point I had considered taking HoJo for SS, Pujols for 3B and then plug in whatever actual SS I took for the OF spot but didn't think it was worth the hassle.

Well ****.  I guess I should of read the rules more carefully.  I guess the good news is that I have OF Albert Pujos playing 3rd for me.  Should be an interesting team for me.

baddhagamer is correct.  There are 24 players each at C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS.  That's one per team.  It doesn't matter where you play them, you still only get one player per position at those positions (plus 3 OF, 2 subs, 5 SP, 5 RP).

Man, I hate my team. I screwed myself when I picked McGwire when I had originally entered in another name and then changed my mind

Yep, I wish I had taken Troy Tulowitzki (in the 2nd round) as well.

my big regret (well, so far anyway) is taking Caminiti instead of Ozzie in the third round. I thought 3Bs would go a lot faster, but instead Beltre doesn't even get picked until the 6th, for crying out loud.

My big regret is not reading the rules....Or at least comprehending what I read.  Doh!  I have a lot of position flexibility so I think I can pull out of it.

edit:  I hope that I can at least get 81 wins out of this team.

my regert is not taking a pitcher at the end of round 1. I didn't think the SP run would last so long, then I couldn't chase after SPs or I'd be drafting from behind for the entire draft. bad draft spot.

At the time (4th round), I was a little hesitant about taking Ozzie, but am very glad I did now.  I sure would have hated to have Chico Fernandez or Sonny Jackson as my starting SS.  That being said, I'm sure I'll suffer greatly in the OF.

My biggest regret is taking Tim Raines in the 4th round - it was completely and utterly unncessary at the time....god I'm dumb.......
