I actually didn't have a problem with the $100M team, I had an idea when I saw the theme posted, and the "awful" teams I picked had enough usable guys to get to the $10M threshold.

This is true, as long as every one of your 25 players has at least two (different) eligible sim seasons.  It would be fun to see how bad the Round 2 roster would be, assuming advancement.

This is what i'm going to do.  since I have such a low ranking and advancement would be shocking anyway. I might as well go for it all in Round 1

It was a hell of an ordeal getting my 100m team together.  I must have stopped and started 20 times.  The final version certainly isn't perfect, I'm short at short - we'll see...  no faith in how it turned out but it's now time to move on...

I took 3 tries at the $100mil team and stopped. My current team will definitely be competitive and I have some good ballparks to choose from. I can certainly do better, but that's one theme that if I start tinkering, I'll never stop...waaaaaaaay too many possibilities.

Q for $90M. can we twist a player to the same season? For example, if I choose 2008 Red Sox can I use Manny Ramirez 2008 stats with the Dodgers?

Yes, that would count as a twist.

For 80m, what's the ruling if a player's consecutive eligible seasons go something like:  1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989...

If I use the 1986 season, do I HAVE to go to '85 since it's the only actual consecutive year, or can I go to '88?

I think that question was already asked. It's the player's next consecutive available season in WIS. So '88 is okay.

The way I read the previous answer was if they only had one option for the next consecutive season.  Such as if a guy had 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1992 as his final year.  Obviously if you use 1992 you have nowhere to go but 1990.   Just wanted to be safe.

You can use either year (85 or 88) in your example above...

Mike, I haven't done anything for the $100M team other than think of 2-3 possibilities in my head...nothing drafted yet.  It took me many tries on the $90M Twist theme before I settled on an old standby.  I'm working on the progressive/regressive right now and have been for several days.

Just put my teams in the leagues and found out something was wrong with my $70 mil because of the repeat of a season, luckily it was a bench player so I could sub out to a lesser player. I'm happy to get my teams in the leagues and be done with them. They will all fail miserably like last time and I'll learn a lot from the team-building posts. Can wait to see what everyone's thoughts were on the themes and how they approached them.
