We have one opening in the third season (1972/73 and 1973/74) of the double season progressive which started with the 1968/69 & 1969/70 seasons. This is the era of Wilt, Baylor, Robertson, Dave Bing, Earl Monroe etc. We will progress 2 seasons at a time. Each season owners will be able to select which of the 2 seasons they will use for each of their players, if the player was WIS eligible in both seasons. There will be adequate players available.
The team available is the Charlotte Bobcats. I have posted a preliminary keeper list for the Bobcats below. We are not yet halfway through the 1970/71 and 1971/72 season so a replacement owner will have time to study the roster and make any desired changes to the preliminary keeper list as well as review the league rules and other information in the league's private forum.
The Bobcats won the Central division in season 1 with a record of 68-14 and are currently tied for the division lead in season 2 with a record of 19-12. They will probably be drafting somewhere around 15th in the 24 team league in the upcoming draft.
Since we progress 2 seasons at a time, player turnover in the league is rapid. Rookies for the 1972/73 and 1973/74 season include George Gervin, Caldwell Jones, Bob McAdoo, Larry Kenon, Swen Nater, Paul Westphal, James Silas, Kevin Porter, Paul Westphal and Brian Taylor.
The Bobcats did trade their 1st and round draft picks for the 1972/73 and 19873/74 draft as part of the effort to build their winning team for the first 2 seasons, so their first draft pick will be in round 3.
