Part of that is giving old-school guys access to todays training regimens and medical care.

Wow.  Imagine if Wilt & Russell had those advantages.  We seem to forget that Wilt was in as incredible shape as he was in in that era.  Put him with today's stuff and he might make Dwight Howard look like Dikembe Mutombo (body wise).  And Russell might actually be like Dwight.

Bernard King is definitely draftable in this league regardless. Probably a bench guy but he should be drafted. Len Bias.. never showed a thing in the league obviously and his statistical projections workout to something like Jerome Kersey

Anyway, everyone is free to judge each team on their own but for my little fantasy world I like Bill.

With drafting Walton your next pick should be the Phoenix Suns training staff.

Bernard King was the best post up SF ever! His post game was alot like Dream's. SF's couldn't contain him with that devistating turn around fade away! I do believe Bias could've been another Dominique Wilkins also. Maybe not quite as good but possibly close.

Now talkin bout Kersey. He took so many ill-advised shots early in the shot clock when he could've allowed Drexler to rule. He wasn't a smart player but he was a quality defensive player who could rebound. He would've been a much better back-up SF/PF than a starter.

Drexler was an awesome player who seems to be overlooked in this forum. When I said Thorpe was the best player Dream played with when Thorpe was a Rocket I meant he was his best teammate dream ever had. Drexler was the 2nd best player Dream ever played with but Glide wasn't in his prime and neither was Dream and they didn't play together very long. Barkley was the best player Dream ever played with but obviously they weren't in their prime then either but Thorpe was definately his best teammate. I can't remember how many times Dream would get a few fouls early in the game and Rudy-T rather than pull Dream out of the game would switch Thorpe over to cover the opponents best offensive C/PF and the Rockets basically didn't lose anything defensively other than he wasn't as good a shot blocker obviously but I rememeber after the game how Morrell and Murphy would always point out how great of a defensive job Thorpe did on Robinson, or Ewing, or whoever else he D'd up cuz he was such a great defensive player. Thorpe allowed Dream to stay in games when he got cheap fouls which made him a great role player. Olajuwon was great at stayin on the floor and not gettin that 3rd foul and still dominating the game! He was so smart defensively, his instincts were incredible!

Drexler is one of the top 4 greatest SG's I have ever seen play in the NBA- 1. Jordan 2. Kobe 3. D-Wade, 4. Drexler! This comment is 4 u malone.

I loved Clyde. I'm from Illinois and was a bulls fan from birth but I loved those blazer teams.
8/15/2011 7:39 PM
It's the Utah Jazz's pick but they couldn't even win a championship with Stockton to Malone and he's tryin to win in this league with Stockton to McAdoo! Where's Hornacek, Russell, Eaton, & Sloan LOL? He could get that great SF Stockton & Malone.... oops McAdoo always needed with this pick. Edwards, Bailey, & Ostertag are still available also LMFAO! He could always grab up the other Malone, Jeff who was a great defensive SG, well at least he could knock down set shots but he couldn't even defend players like Lance shoots Blanks.

Just havin fun It's all good!

I don't disagree at all.  To take it a little further I would round out the top 10 SG's that I watched as

5.  Sidney Moncrief
6.  Ray Allen
7.  Reggie Miller
8.  Joe Dumars
9.  Mitch Richmond
10.  Fat Lever

I am probably missing someone, but this isn't half bad.  To add to the list:

11.  Byron Scott
945.  Vernon Maxwell

8/15/2011 8:05 PM
Iverson? Top 5
8/15/2011 8:14 PM
Was he an SG or a PG?  That is why I couldn't put him at SG purely, but I agree he would be high on the list.

Possibly Richmond 5, Sprewell has 2 b in this group also

Most lists I see put ai at sg. Usually top 5 alltime sg
8/15/2011 8:51 PM
I definitely think of Lever as a PG.
8/15/2011 9:22 PM
Reggie Miller
8/15/2011 10:05 PM
6 x All defensive 1st team
8 x All-Star
Defensive backbone of 2 Nba Championship teams with the Knicks

Player-Coach at age 24?
ABA Commisioner
One of the NBA's 50 greatest players
Hall of Famer

He doesn't demand the ball a ton and will along with Moses provide tough D and rebounding in the paint.
On offense, he was actually a pretty good jump shooter despite his fg%. We won't be looking for much from him on offense anyway.
