There was a comment about Kidd's poor shooting early in his career but when I look at his 3 pt shooting % he was over 30% every season but his rookie season. He was a better than avg shooter his whole career just not a great shooter but when you look at his 3 pt shooting for his career he was pretty great!

Coming off the bench bad leg and all including lots of game. Willis Reed. I was deciding between three guys that all pretty much brought the same type things. I wasn't going to pick him with this pick but the one coming around I really would liked to have Rice. He would have been the perfect bomber coming off any of these teams bench.

"He was a better than avg shooter his whole career . . . "

As long as you keep posting dumb comments like this (about one of the worst shooters in the League when he started), I'm going to consider you criticising my players as a good thing.  You must be right though, AD s*cked so bad that he made the HOF.  If you know what's coming and still can't stop it, it must be pretty good, huh?  Saying all AD had was a post-up game is like saying all Jabbar had was a sky hook.

So...I am looking for an athlete coming off the bench.  One that can fill it up in a hurry if I need him too.  Plus my guy can rebound his position.  Which is nice too I guess.

Sam Jones

Hall of Famer. 10 time champion. 4 time all-star. All-NBA 2nd team 3 times. Jones can start for this team to let Manu come off the bench to give the team an extra boost in the late 1st/early 2nd quarter. He's got the size and athleticism to handle any shooting guard and was known as a clutch playoff performer. I was sold on this pick when I found out he actually had 3pt range as well. 22 rings for my back court trio. I probably don't need a backup point guard either since Manu can run the point. Jones gives me another shooter to space the floor and another clutch shot maker at the end of the game.

For garyman's team:

Yao Ming

Gary has an elite fast breaking team with Magic running the show, getting outlet passes from Unseld and dishing it to Hondo and Nique. That's clearly the strong point of this team. But I felt they needed more size up front(Unseld and Reed are both 6'8 or 6'9) and maybe someone to be a go to guy in the half court when the running game is stalled(kinda like Kareem was for the showtime Lakers). In his prime, Yao was an unstoppable scoring machine. He absolutely can't be blocked and if you foul him he is almost automatic from the line. Conditioning won't be a problem since he won't have to play heavy minutes coming off the bench.
