I'm in at 144M with a 87/57 split going to hitters/pitchers. I went with 13 Hitters and 12 Pitchers. I don't think my slots lined up to get the best hitters or pitchers really, but I do believe that I probably have the best fielding, so we will see if that means a damn thing. Hopefully. I am definitely in for the next round.

A couple of thoughts...

If you instituted a moderate salary cap (120M?), you could then include all players (and not blacklist the $10M studs).   I'd hate to see all the good Koufax's be excluded.

If you instituted a tighter salary cap ($100M), this would make some tougher draft decisions.

If you really wanted to tighten the screws, you could add the "Franchise Soup" rule, nobody can have more than one player per franchise.
