As a fellow Phillies owner I'm very interested (jealous?) to see how Todd is going to fit Big Pete, Toney, Krause, and George McQ under the cap.
8/13/2015 11:37 AM
I site-mailed him.  He must not be aware of the rule.  I don't see how he can make this work.
8/13/2015 11:38 AM
Maybe he is using 1913 Alexander? I'd say that's unlikely, though.
8/13/2015 11:39 AM
I site-mailed him.

If he made a mistake and didn't realize the rule, he can still make a save by using 1916 Alexander (0.96 whip), along with 1907 McQuillan (46 IPs, 0.78 whip) and keep '18 Toney and be at $19.46 million - which is what I thought he was doing once he made the Toney pick.

He'd of course have to delete the Krause pick and pick somebody else.

Let's put a hold on the draft until he responds.

*** completely misunderstood the rules. *** thought it was $20 mil per pitcher, not combined salaries....
too much going on at work...gonna have to research & repick someone else later...sorry....

He could also keep the $16M 1915 Alexander, but he'd have to use a crappy '22 Toney (gets him to $19.76M).  It's assumed he's gotta use the '07 McQuillan
