DRAFT 'EM ALL LEAGUE (Done Drafting) Topic

Guys.....I do my drafts a little differently than some of you are used to.  I don't like skipped picks.  It is my feeling that everyone has their time slot each day, and knows when they are picking.  If they know they are going to miss that time, they can send a proxy list.  So, other than accidents/hospitalizations and other unplanned emergencies, there is really no excuse for anyone to miss a pick.

Therefore, if there is an owner skipped, the following owners don't HAVE TO pick in their time slot.  They can pick as soon as the guy in front of them makes their selection.  If we were on the clock today, and I miss my pick from 4-4:30, patco can pick at 4:31, dilligaf can pick at 4:32, roadhouse at 4:33 and so on if they are paying attention and ready.

ALSO, at the end of a scheduled draft day, the draft CAN continue in OFF THE CLOCK mode far into the evening, EVEN IF THERE ARE SKIPPED PICKS!!!  For example, lets say slainte makes his 2nd round pick in the clock at 9:45.  He is encouraged to make his 2rd round pick at the same time.  Then, if SouthHeat is still awake and would rather make his 3rd round pick that night instead of waiting til 10:30 in the morning, he can make that pick at, say 10 pm.  Then it's up to d_rock, and he has that same option, and so on.  Eventually, we will get to someone who has gone to bed and the draft will continue the next day.  I have no problem with getting ahead of the clock.  If it is easier with people's schedules to make those early round picks the night before, instead of waiting til the next day, I am FINE with that.  But skips are not allowed in those situations.  Does that make sense to everybody?
we don't need to wait for our time slots after a missed pick

potentially yes at 7pm ejstockman can pick...then 730 myself, etc. As we are live.

However GotWorms couldn't start the next round until tomorrow at his time slot until all the round prior is completely drafted...
Would you have to wait until 7:30 to make a pick, or are you on the clock as soon as the pick ahead of yours is made?
he picked however had he not i would have to wait for my time...

OK, I am finally here to catch up.  You guys figured thinngs out perfectly.  Yes, once a pick is skipped, like in this situation--fron 6:30--7, then the guy at 7 can go right ahead and make his pick.  Once he does, the next guy can pick at 7:01 if he wants to....and the following guy immediately after.  The skipped owner just picks as soon as he can.  And the draft CAN continue into the next day in "off the clock" mode, even if there are skipped picks outstanding!

I am getting page one updated in all columns as we speak.  Did my football and hoops drafts first, now I can focus solely on this one.

Surprisingly people have **** to do other than draft teams

There's really zero reason to respond like a complete D***weed... I understand that... Was just simply making conversation since I had time for a moment.

I work for a PD here in NY, where we're recently getting hit with the craziest winter storm in a while, so refrain from thinking I'm sitting around all day waiting and don't have other things to do. I was hoping we'd stay ahead of the clock, so I wasn't forced to miss things due to my work. Thanks for your useless input, though.

Sorry for your loss, Bottomlee... Best wishes to you and your family..

Dyckweed what are you 12.Speaking of useless input, who cares what you do for a living .Also there were 84,999,999 other people affected by the storm so don't think you were the only one busy

How about everyone shuts the **** up and draft. You people keep going back and forth and it leads no where and you all look like arrogant picks.

Lol are you being serious??
