I was planning on taking him in Round 2 until Robin took Clemens. At that point, I figured he would be protected and went with Wagner. Been kicking myself a bit for not waiting

Had I picked earlier in round 2, I absolutely would've taken Cy Young from the Red Sox (but Clemens got taken and it closed Boston out for that round). I guess I could've gambled and passed a wildcard player in round 2 and hope Cy Young didn't get protected AND also didn't get selected before my pick, but I was ok with locking in Frank Smith.

Cy Young was always in my plans for the 3rd Round Protection, but fell off the grid on Saturday/Sunday, thinking we would never finish the round before Monday...my bad..sorry for the delay and thank-you all for not selecting him...

Cubs catchers. We're nearing the end of round 4 so get your keepers in so we can get round 5 started tomorrow and be halfway complete by the end of Tuesday.

Be sure to trace the lineage of the teams you select to ensure you do not miss out on players eligible nor confuse players that you think are eligible i.e. Chicago White Stockings (Cubs) or 19th century Baltimore Orioles (defunct and not connected to current Orioles franchise), etc.
