sin, have you been the Phillies before? My first time with them, trying to make sure I have good power arms, seemed to work in a pitcher friendly place for my giants

I think so, but it's been a long time.  They're definitely a little thin on pitching.  I think newark is our resident Phils expert, as he's had them several times in Rule V.

Royals now off the board.  That doesn't happen often, at least in round one.

I haven't played as the Phils for a little while, but pitching is definitely their biggest need, since '72 Carlton is usually good, but not dominant, and the '92 Schilling tends to be wildly inconsistent. that Kevin Brown season is actually a great fit, I think.

it was also exactly who I wanted with my pick, unfortunately. I guess I'll go with Milwaukee's Teddy Higuera, which has got to be the first time he's ever been a first round pick.

Yeah, I thought the pitching was a bit thin, I was eyeballing another SP, but I couldn't pass up Brown & that season, gives me 3 legit Power Arms at the top of rotation - I think Higuera will be good for the Giants, hurts losing Lincecum, he was a horse for me the past 2 legs

I decided I'd rather have to get a pitcher in the draft than a shortstop, so I could only protect one of Lincecum and Schmidt. hope I made the right choice...
