the trade is not voided just the yanks or the cubs can still either draft him or trade his rights.

Ok, Rassmussen's draft rights belong to the Cubs and Reds.  Not the Yankees.  Never mind....  Jesus....I screwed that up.
jstewart, your Cubs have half of the rights to Rassmussen and the Reds own the other half.  The cubs can draft him or attempt to trade for the other half of his rights.  The same can be said for the reds.

I was going off of the top of my head and was speaking of the 1987 season during which he pitched for the yanks and reds.
