I think that was a good deal crustydoc. I planned to put in a higher bid, but missed the deadline. It's hard to argue with $95 million in WIS salary for $21 million in monopoly money.

Great deal crusty. I think we're seeing lots of quality buys in the early going. I never though Atlanta's starting pitching would sell for under $50 mil. Part of it has to be the auction format. It's tough to make bids when you're holding out for a unit that will come up late.

I understand that I could have upped the bid, but my final bid for the Braves Big 3 was the highest that I wanted to go, and so I was about 38 minutes from winning when I was overbid... Some interesting bidding going on so far... A few surprises, but nothing too out of line so far... If the Braves SPs went for 48mil, I wonder what the A's unit will go for...

Don't mind at all --- always like to hear other perspectives.  I was determining value by looking at what I'm getting for my money over 11 seasons.  Ordonez will play full time in 8 of those 11, averaging $5.57 mil during those 8 seasons.  May will play full time in all 11 seasons, averaging $4.3 mil over all 11.  Singleton can play full time in 3 seasons, at $3.58 mil/season.  So I have 23 pretty solid OF seasons out of the 33 I'll need for the league's run --- for $21 mil.

pluswhise you should expect at least 3 seasons in which chris singleton goes 40/40. HE'S BETTER THAN BIGBIE!!!!!

I had the White Sox OF valued at $22M.

Well, the Colorado IF bidding got out of hand in a hurry.

I was having fun walking it up $1M at a time :(

If I still had all my money I was thinking of bidding 100 for the A's IF. It could get fun when we get to Oakland.
