have we heard back from the other absentee owners?

I think eman did a heck of a job as well - put together probably the best overall long-term pitching staff in the league and still managed to pick up a few solid long-term hitters in vidro, hunter, and cabrera. Plus he did it all cheaply, so he still has 19 mil left - great job. 

stpmotom put together a group of hitters that is going to crush the ball for the next few years or so - Berkman, Alou, Hidalgo, Kent, Aurilia, Kendall is a heck of a lineup. If he can scrape together a good pitching staff (has a lot of solid, if not great, innings between MIN SP and Matt Morris) that team can be pretty tough.

teal_leo finished up early, but I still think he got good bargains on the Unit and the Cleveland outfield. Angels IF isn't bad either, he put together a solid bunch.

deanod is tempting karmic punishment with both A-Rod and Bonds. Hope I don't end up in the same league as those guys though - one of them will probably win the MVP for the next 5 years combined.

A few minor tweaks to the rules forum-  minor procedural stuff. 

1.  I originally stated the supplemental draft would begin between 24 and 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction drafts.  I changed it to between 24 and 72 hours. Gives us a 2 day window rather than locking us into one day.  
2. Penalty for waiver wire use now involves possible expulsion.  Don't think anyone will object, as waiver wire use would be a flagrant disregard for the rules. 

Can't you just disable the WW?

Likely.  Hadn't thought of that- I've never created a league before. 

You can indeed say no WW so that shouldn't be an issue at all.

We lost power with all the wet snow that was dumped here in MN. Its going to take me a little bit to come up with a new plan as there was no way I was going to let the STL OF get away from me but now I dont know what way I am going.

I'm already looking ahead to the supplemental draft.  There's a new thread that will list the players available for that draft- the infielders are already up because all 24 owners have an infield.  The entire list will be up shortly after everybody has filled their 5 units.  There will be a different thread for the draft itself, complete with the draft order and time slots. 

Let's get those bids in!

Are we going to be drafting on Thanksgiving?  Because I don't think I'm going to be available then.  It'd be nice to have it hammered out before then.

No way we're drafting on Thanksgiving.  I'd like to have the supplemental draft done by then.  If not, we'll either start the day after or Monday if enough people are not going to be able to get near a computer for the weekend.

the fact that pugs, ctorriente and cubieblu are not filling their rosters is not a good sign.

I trust ct and was encouraged when pugs won a couple of auctions.  However, there is only one active bid right now.  If I wake up tomorrow and don't find any new bids, I'm going to start asking some questions of people.
