Hey schwarze, any chance we see a DH or some type of ballpark restriction in future leagues?  One fun challenge (as if this league's not a delight already) would be making owners select their ballparks pre-draft
We've done a DH league (version 2).  I'm sure we'll do that again.  Let me think about the ballpark idea.
A good idea could be to limit ballparks to home stadiums of the 16 nominated players and then make the draft 16 rounds where one of your picks is your ballpark.

I like that idea.  The ballpark would have to be the park that the nominated player played in during the exact season of the player selected.  So there would only be a choice of 16 parks.

Oli already has his Morgan.

I will select the 2000 Mike Morgan $1,642,560.

Apparently, nobody noticed this until now, but for whatever reason, when I was cutting/pasting every player's eligible seasons into the spreadsheet, I inadvertantly excluded Tommy Davis' 1974 and 1975 seasons with Baltimore.   I need to make an immediate ruling on this.  Since these seasons were not originally listed (and there are still enough seasons to be drafted), these two seasons will not be eligible to be drafted.  It wouldn't be fair to open up two new seasons now, when some people already drafted Davis.  Call it the Tommy Davis rule.  If any of you knew about the missing seasons and were waiting to use a pick on a missing season late, tough luck.

Yeah the search does not return DHs with no fielding ratings if you check All Positions.

Make sure you all save the most expensive Bobby Witt for that bastard, ronthegenius!
Not quite the most expensive but I'll take 1992 Witt, the 2989171 version.

I haven't given you your props yet but the Witt selection was diabolical. How did the guy stay in the league that long and pitch that many innings each year walking 20 people a game? There will be a lot of wasted salary in this league spent on that stiff

1995 Mike Timlin - $1,457,300

1986 Witt, rangers version, 2.9 million

Ill take 1976 Tommy Davis, KC. Sadly, I can't fit G.Brett onto the team

boozerep selects 2000 Mike Timlin (StL 466K)

Only shysters and ejstockman still need Gwynn and I pick before either of them so I will go ahead and take 1991 Tony Gwynn.
