Tim Keefe - 1885 where EVERYONE is a rookie.
good news for everyone behind me in round 1
About 1885, glad you brought it up. I thought about it, and it strikes me as unfair to have a year where the entire pool of players, not just rookies, can be drafted. One solution, thanks to the unique features of this league, would be to place Tim Keefe in his rookie year. That's right, quite possibly the first ever WiS 1880 draft!
I haven't looked at the pool of talent, but I believe this can work. We can twist all the 1880 guys only to the year 1885 or later, but no reason to drop the rookie rule just becuase we don't have the earlier seasons of these players in the database. To aid research, it'd be nice is someone posted the full 1880 eligable list. If need be, we can use the same ruling from 1900 and expand the 1880 list to also include a second year. I'm actually rather excited by the prospect of going back this far.
By the way, interesting pick calhoop. I too was thinking of going that route, might grab and old-time hurler for myself.
