When I was researching this draft I assigned every franchise a grade - a score between 1-100. Most are in increments of 5. When we're done I will post the rankings for everyone's 3 teams. But that huge Boston Braves pick puts sgsmith at the top of the leaderboard so far.
While I love the time/energy and brains required to do this, I do have a 'quibble';
I think the 'score' would depend on the round taken...The Yankees have a 'value' when you only get to take 5...They would have a MUCH higher value had they lasted til the 2nd round and you could have taken 10...
My Colonels have much more 'value' as a 1st rd pick where I only need to take 5 players...They would have a lower value if I had to take 10...
Not sure I presented that very well, but I know what I'm trying to say...

I assure you that my methods were not that scientific. I just spent maybe an hour looking at each team's top few players and pitchers.
Teams like the Yankees that were sure to go in round 1 were basically rated on their top 5s. Teams that were definitely going to be picked late were rated on their depth. Teams in the middle are sort of a hybrid of star power and depth. I gave some points for scarce positions - most franchises can probably scare up a corner OF and a 4th starter.
It really started out just as a cheat sheet for myself :)
